THIS WORKS! Please give it a try!
THIS WORKS! Please give it a try!I normally don't ever write reviews this long, but this is a must!!!Long story short, my 14 year old Chihuahua mix who has a tiny heart murmur, but has never had any issues with her liver, had a blood test back in November 2024 to check how she was doing, and to our surprise her liver enzymes WERE SUPER HIGH...i mean in the 1,600 range. After the vet nurse called me to give me the results, she let me know that the vet was highly suggesting i take her to the ER. I let her know that she didn't seem to be in discomfort and seemed pretty fine, so I would hold off on taking her to the vet, especially because I didn't have the financial means to do so.Hence, I had noticed a lot of peeing and lots of water intake, but nothing too alarming. What bothered me however, is that instead of them providing a suggestion for the time being, they are extremely quick to refer to the most expensive option, which for some people its financially okay, but not for the majority.I had to go out of my way and ask them if they had a suggestion in the meantime or any medication i can try to give her to see if that helped. They put me on hold and the vet prescribed me Denamarin. When I went to go pick them up, they were the size of a nickel, almost close to a quarter size. I was instructed to give her half AND NOT CRUSH IT, but there was no way she was going to eat it, especially because she's extremely picky. I tried researching on other alternatives and ordered a box of Nutramax Denamarin Liver Health Supplement for Small Dogs and Cats - with S-Adenosylmethionine (Same) and Silybin, 30 Tablets. She's roughly about 13 pounds and since the "small" option is up to 12 pounds, I would give her 2 blue pills. One in the morning and one in the evening. They were the size of a small advil and could easily be wrapped in a small piece of chicken. I would give it to her 1 hr before her actual meal.I know that it states to be given on an empty stomach, but putting it in a piece of chicken was fine, no issue. After a few days, they wanted me to go back within a week to get more blood tests done, but i waited a few months instead because what was the point of going so soon. I was just going to pay the $220 fee and nothing was going to change within i week -__- ....its common sense to be honest lol. After researching even more, I noticed one user say that they tried a combination of the Denamarin with Milk Thistle drops. I purchased this brand towards the end of November 2024 as well, and was adding it to her food after the 1 hr mark had passed of giving her the Denamarin. After a month passed by, i started to notice that she was not peeing as much as she use to and the water intake normalized. However, she kept having diarrhea. I was concerned that probably the liver enzymes were still very high, which was the cause of the diarrhea. However, towards the beginning of January 2025, i stopped giving her the Denamarin and was only giving her the milk thistle drops. The diarrhea seemed to have stopped and not only did her water intake normalize, but also her peeing.I decided to take her for an updated blood test on February 17th and got the results back on February 20th.HER LIVER ENZYMES SHOWED THEY HAD GONE DOWN FROM 1, 688 TO 133. Still a bit over the number window by like 4 numbers, BUT IT WAS AN ENORMOUS PROGRESS. I WAS SO HAPPY AND THANKFUL!I had a follow up with the vet who was also stunned about the results and when i told her i was giving her milk thistle drops, you could tell she was not as excited (same issue when you mention to doctors about natural supplements).I honestly don't care what she thought, results were there and IT WORKS.I'm not a professional of any sorts, but i try to research as much as possible and try things that can help my fur baby, and I'm thankful I did. If you have a fur baby that may have liver enzymes as high as mine and you don't have the financial means to go to the ER vet, please give the combination of Milk thistle and Denamarin. Obviously if you see that one of the products may be causing issues, then stop immediate use. But you don't lose anything with giving it a try! Even if it's just the milk thistle drops! :""""D

Best cough suppressant for dogs
This is great for dogs with collapsed trachea. My dog was coughing constantly and this has helped her tremendously. Better than the cough tabs from the vets office. This has saved her life.

Might be Miracle In A Bottle
I had the unfortunate situation of going through an emotional rollercoaster recently with my Pup. What we believed to be arthritis, including the vet, turned out to be possibly worse. My 14 year old pup was diagnosed with presumed liver cancer…after severe guessing and then a last minute ultrasound. Again, all suspected but not confirmed. Inoperable…and spreading to spleen and maybe stomach. To be fair, his primary vet is questionable considering they originally prescribed him Rimadyl and Gabapentin for arthritis, knowing my pup was already older and thinner for his age, not to mention mixing it with him. My Chewy was never the same after those 2 short weeks on that hellish medicine. He then declined and the Vet told me to stop meds immediately due to his liver enzymes going up, which they were confident the meds were at fault. They prescribed him Denamarin which failed…so I started searching for natural remedies and came across this. I started it immediately and even though my pup was against it, he took it…I just squirt it in his mouth. Fast forward, one week later and my dog was sick, not eating, starting to throw up, the whole 9 yards and this was completely due to the reaction of these meds messing his system up. Took him back to the vet, and told me he was first internally bleeding (without testing) and that he was going to die overnight (again, pure speculation with no testing). Somehow though, his blood panels came back all normal the next day with his liver enzymes going down…but how could that be if he had cancer? Right? Well, the vet told me to prepare for the worse and he has days to weeks before he declined and passed away due to his deteriorating condition.Fast forward weeks later, my Chewy is eating, gained all the weight back he lost weeks ago, and a little more alert at times. I’m not saying the Milk Thistle is solely the reason but I believe it is playing a HUGE role In his liver functions, his strength, and him still holding on. To be fair, he was recently prescribed Prednisone to assist with pain (also somewhat an appetite stimulant), and on CBD (cannapet), and he’s huge on eating organic baby food only and farmer’s dog pureed food with goat milk. He’s not throwing up, his stool is going back to normal (after each vet and specialist told me his poop would never be normal again now that his liver is failing), and that he would continue to get weaker (opposite). He’s not running the house but he has more strength in his steps, and alert. While I know he won’t be with me for the long run, if I can beat his prognosis of 7 months…I would consider this a success and this Milk Thistle being the reason for it. Don’t hesitate to buy this…this will certainly be the little miracle you need to get your baby back to where they need to be and support their liver. There is hope in Natural medicine and this is it!

Dog loves it
My dog likes the taste and readily takes this. It will be a while before we can know if it is working, but I have only heard good things about it from other users. The main thing is right now he takes it.

Easy to give
Not sure that we saw any real changes in our dogs health, her liver numbers didn’t change as the Vet hoped.

Good product!
I have use Pet Hold products before so I know the brand. I bought this for my daughter’s Senior dog who has liver disease. Denamarin is just so expensive. This is a good alternative.

Expensive product for the amount you get.
Very expensive product should be in a larger bottle for less price.
