Q: Does the fan switch have three speeds. Or is it a single speed with three heat settings ?

The first icon is fan only (for use in very hot weather), the 2nd is 1kw (supposed to be for smaller "rooms"), the third is 2kw - for hotter air and larger rooms. The problem with this heater is that once it is switched on and heating at either 1 or 2 kw, it should thermostatically turn off to the heat you want, which it does, but the fan stays on now until you turn it off manualy. So I find it irritating and extremely expensive. The fan remaining on wil, indeed, prevent mildrew in plants perhaps as it circulates air but it is a waste of energy . Wheather it comes back to heat when it gets cold, I dont knw because I have never been in the greenhouse when this has occurred. IO bought another brand (which is identical) and that is the same. I just wish they would start to make the old fashioned thermostatically efficient heaters which served us for many years!

Q: Will this work off a solar powered set up with inverter

The Lighthouse Greenhouse heater needs an input of 220-240V AC, 50Hz, 2025W. When the solar powered set up is capable of delivering this, the sun is more than capable of heating the greenhouse directly. The heater is normally needed to heat the greenhouse during the night when the outside temperature falls. Unless there are some very unusual circumstances or the solar power is stored in a battery during the day for use at night, I don't think that the solar powered set up is appropriate.

Q: Can this heater be used in a wooden shed 10 by 8 over the winter

It depends on the temperature you want to maintain. I use it in a 12x9 greenhouse and it is fine for keeping frost out and would probably achieve 10 - 15deg C most of the time. A good little greenhouse heater which is what it is designed for but a bit of a rattler. you might be better with a 2kw convector heater for probably less money - no fan and therefore no rattle
