This recorder is excellent, with great features and sound quality. It allows you to set the amount of time it will continuously record without shutting off. The user manual has a lot to be desired. It is from China and whoever wrote the user manual is not well conversant in English. I finally figured out the instructions. Other people say it is easy to transfer files to the computer, but when I connect the recorder to my computer, nothing happens. When I go to file explorer it does not show up anywhere. I need to be able to transfer files to my computer. If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it. I have been using digital recorders for a long time and all I had to do for my others was connect the recorder to my computer with the USB cord and it would show up in File Explorer. I gave it a 5 because it is a great recorder and I hope I wil be able to figure out the key to transfer my files to the computer. I am fairly literate in this since I have a Ph.D. in technology management and I am an attorney who uses this kind of stuff regularly.Since the above review, I used a shorter cable, about 10 inches long, and the file transfers work great. I am very happy with this recorder and highly recommend it.

I am a clinical mental health counseling student, so I needed to buy a recorder for sessions. This item's battery never even dropped below full after almost four hours of recording. The microphone is powerful and it picks up everything. My only issues are I don't like how I cannot listen to a recording without it shutting off if I pause it and I couldn't figure out how to fast forward/rewind while listening. You must upload the recording to a computer and use software to stop/start/rewind/fast forward in an efficient manner, so the device is really for recording, but not listening. Otherwise, I am happy with the product, despite the price.
