This G2 Thermomaven is AWESOME!!! I am a retired executive chef and I use this in my smoker for doing long overnight brisket and pork butt cooks and the accuracy of this is DEAD ON!!!it cleans up really easy with just soap and water and if the numbers on the end are smoke stained, just take a magic eraser and clean the ends.The price cant be beat and its EVERY bit of good as its competitor...if not better!

Works well. We thought you could put the second probe in our smoker to allow us to view the smoker inside temp, however, the probe needs to be inserted into meat or fish or something else the probe cannot take the temperature. Upon further review, we have found that the probe which in inserted into the fish (in our case) DOES measure the ambient (surrounding) temperature outside the probe so we didn't really need to use a second probe. Nice product.

At Thanksgiving time, I ordered from a different company that said their wireless probe thermometer was the best. I also read numerous reviews praising them. By the end of FEBRUARY, I gave up and asked for a refund. They had my money since November and by the end of February I still had no "your order has shipped". I was frustrated and turned to Amazon, found this one with decent reviews, ordered it and had it in 2-3 days. My husband is very very pleased with his very late Christmas gift. I am pleased because I paid HALF the price for Thermomaven and it is great! My husband uses it all the time and his grilling is topnotch now!!! Definitely recommend and would buy again.

The media could not be loaded. I used to struggle with dry chicken and guessing when my steaks were done.This device has brought me the peace of mind knowing my food is being cooked to perfection.The app is very interactive and well put together. I works seamlessly.You can choose what meat you want to cook and it gives you recommendations for the temperature for the meat you are cooking. It has four thermometers that allow you to cook mulptile things at once. I can literally set it and forget it.My only reason for not giving this machine 5 stars is because of the alarm. It is very obnoxious and loud and it rings from both your phone and the device itself. Maybe there is a way to change it but we do not need to be updated when each thermomter is 5 minutes away from being done as well as alarm when its reach the set temp and then when the meat has been resting and its done. I find that to be very excessive and at times annoying.We simply turned off all alarms and just have to pay closer attention to cooking.Other than that its super easy to clean, the thermometers stay charged decently and so does the house device.This device is a great conversation starter with family and friends.

The G2 exceeded my expectations. The iOS app is easy to use. The app display shows the temperature profile along the length of the probe and provides a unique view of the cooking process. I found the predicted time until the food was ready was accurate.I have a Big Green Egg and use a BBQGuru UltraQ temperature controller. I used the G2 on my latest cook, an 11-pound pork butt, and is was interesting to have another look at the pit and food temperatures. The WiFi connection worked great even after I wrapped the meat in aluminum foil for the last half of the cook.As a retired military man, thank you ThermoMaven for you military discount.Bottom line, you won't be disappointed.

My husband loves it, more than he thought, now that he has learned more about how to work it.
