The frosting was too hard and would not come out of the tube. We had to try adding liquid or the microwave but it turned into a mess. Do not recommend

I made a rum cake for dessert after our family Christmas dinner. My adult daughter-who was visiting from another state for the holiday-wanted to do the decorating part so I turned her loose with the cake and this icing set. She said it was hard to get out of the tube due to it being excessively thick. It tasted pretty much like all the other icings from a plastic tube that I’ve ever had, very sweet and with a little chemical aftertaste. Delivery was slow—ordered on Dec. 17th and received it a full week later on the afternoon of Dec. 24th. And once I opened the plastic Amazon envelope it was shipped in, I saw that one end of the box was fully open & slightly damaged, most like during shipping. These kits should be shipped in a box to prevent crushing, not a flimsy envelope.

Did not like. Very messy & hard to squeeze out. Bottles are only half filled. Will never buy again.

Listen. I've got arthritis and carpal tunnell I could not squeeze these tubes if my life depended on. I tried warming the up in hot water which usually works and it worked for a few minutes and than hardened back to the rock of Gibraltar after. I have it three stars because even though it wasn't easy to use, it tasted just fine. The colors were spot on, and the little sprinkles were really cute. I think it was also a pretty good deal for what it cost. My kids and boyfriend had to decorate them, they have more strength in the hands than I do. Over all nice, but you need strength to squeeze the tubes.
