This is a remarkable scanner for the price. So far this scanner has done everything I've needed it to been using for a few weeks and I work at a used car repair shop while it isn't a snapon it is easy to navigate and is user friendly i don't think you can beat it's value for the price am a satisfied customer and highly recommend this scanner

Took a while to get but very useful

I just received the product and it have CLEARLY been used. The box was broken and badly taped. The machine had no initial charge at all, completely dead battery, and the product itself had no screen protector tape, like new screens do, and it was out of the foam bag that the new ones come into. The bag was crushed under the product. They did not even took the time to properly put the item back in the bag, so probably this unit is defective and they just put a tape on the box and sent to the next person. I am waiting to a response from the vendor but will probably have to return this. Is a shame that they try to scam people this way. If the product is used or open box, they should not be selling it as new. Normally used or open box items have a lower price and are rechecked or refurbished. This is NOT a new product and just creates a bad name on the brand. I will update this review if the seller responds and I see some sort of positive response and actions taken after they tried to scam me. Buy directly from Foxwell. I called Foxwell and they told me the Amazon store is NOT from the Foxwell distributor but "someone else". They told me to buy directly from them to have a better service. So , probably this "Foxwell " store in Amazon is someone getting second rated or refurbished or used products and trying to sell them as new. Please be aware. If I could give negative stars for this scam trial, I would.Quick UPDATE.I charged the unit enough to turn it on, which had zero charge, and confirmed what I knew. This is NOT a new item. It have been used and they left the 2 wifi accounts on which it was before, as well as the previous user gmail account on it. This clearly shows is a used product and they try to sell them as new, when they are now. All open box or used items should be sold as used, not new. And this item had been registered with a Foxwell account, so that will lower the so called 3 year updates or any manufacturer warranty because it carries the serial number on it. NOT good at all. Buyers be AWARE.

I’ve tried several different scanners that were supposed to work on a 2008 Hino 258 box truck and this is the only one that actually worked. I was able to reset the DPF that was pegged at 10 bars and was able to clear all engine codes. This scanner also allows for forced DPF and injector isolation. I highly recommend this scanner to owners and operators of the Hino truck.

I work at a construction co not a repair shop. I bought this unit in February of 2025 to use in the field or as a quick method of scanning and doing def / scr regen. I have tried to use it on many (more than 10) 2020+ Freightliner and 2017 + Mack trucks with no success. Every time it has said could not communicate with ECM after reading codes. Several times but not every time the scanner caused the vehicle to show an additional electronic communication error on the vehicle which could only be fix by attaching and fixing with our shop scanner. The 2 John deere equipment I tried it on were not cooperative with the scanner either but it is hard to say if it was JD programming. Needless to say I am very unimpressed and annoyed at the amount of money that I spent. I will say the compact size and android operating system (I prefer android over windows) are good things about it. Otherwise it's an expensive code reader with lots of connectors.EDIT 5-10-25:After leaving this review customer care reached out to me to assist in any way possible to improve customer satisfaction. They did not ask me to change my review, I am doing this in fairness to them. While I will say my experience with the HD500 has not changed in the few days of the initial post, customer service is excellent and quite honestly better than many other companies and that is the only reason I am bumping from 2 stars to 3. To be judging this product so early Is a bit unfair. I purchased this scanner for my Daughter. I'm a professional Auto Technician. My daughter live over 1500 miles away from dad. I don't trust the part stores to not sell her something she doesn't need. She calls dad first. I need to have accurate data to be able to direct her next move. So after playing with thus on my own car. Data from different modules she needs to read and easy of access. Just like any scanner, there us a learning curve. The data refresh rate is fast. There is a graphing mode which I use a lot. Not sure if that is fast enough but it's there. The tutorial in the code section looks great so far. Code deception does and don't are spelled out here. Like leave this to the professional or not. I think is very valuable to the un professional DIYr. The code read and data access she needs to have at her disposal and not yo some parts store that's willing to sell a cheap part or mislead her. I've seen where a customer replaced a perfectly good part for a lesser quality part and created more than one problem in doing so. So far I think this will become a very valuable tool in her own tool box.

Guys I recommend 💯 porcent this Scanner is giving me more then what expected is completely correct in its results a lot extra functionality is working for all types diesel engine and all gasoline engine too
