Fixed My Mustang's Issue When the Dealership Couldn't — Highly Recommend!
I am by no means an expert mechanic, but I own four cars (two Corollas, a Mustang V6, and a Mustang GT). I recently purchased the GT, and it has a strange issue with the climate control system (I won't go into all the details here). Since the car is under warranty, I took it to the dealership, but they were unable to fix the problem.The dealership performed an evacuation and recharge of the A/C system, though I had a feeling that wouldn’t solve anything. They also replaced two actuators. Altogether, they kept the car for two weeks but still couldn't resolve the issue.Eventually, I decided to purchase a bidirectional scan tool. I already had a good experience with XTool products — I previously used their TPMS scanner to replace my 2011 TPMS sensors without any problems — so I trusted their brand. It turned out to be a great decision. Within just a few hours, I was able to identify and fix the problem myself: one of the actuator arms had snapped out of its joint. No matter how many actuators they replaced, they were never going to fix the problem without addressing that. (See the attached picture where I've marked the location.)The scan tool also comes with plenty of accessories. I really appreciate that it charges by simply being placed on a charging dock — no need to plug it in every time.Overall, this was a very positive experience for me. I would definitely recommend this tool to others. Again, I’m not a professional mechanic, but if you are mechanically inclined, this tool is absolutely worth having.

Programmable
Im a DIYer. I own a BMW m5 as the car gets older parts tend to fail, what i realize is that a lot of parts on my car that i change need to be programmed. I had an issue with battery drain and alarm keeps goin off etc. i scanned the car and found that the IBS sensor was bad so i replaced it and reprogram the new sensor. This tool is wonderful i give it 10 stars ......THANKS XTOOL i saved a bundle

This thing is FAST!!!! And customer service was excellent!
I had never heard of XTOOL scan tools before, but i had been seeing previews for them on Youtube and was excited to give it a try. This is by far the most expensive tool i have ever bought and was quite nervous about it. I had use a few Snap-on scanners in the past so this had some pretty big shoes to fill. I was not disappointed at all. The speed of this thing puts anything I've used to shame, and the amount of services it can do is incredible, way more than i will ever need as a "DIY out of my garage mechanic". For someone looking to do so basic diagnostics this may be a little much and those may want to check out one of the lesser models offered by XTOOL.I did have a small issue with one of the services working when I received it but then stopped working with one of the updates that was pushed through. I was pretty bummed since it was being used to track down an issue on my personal vehicle when it stopped. I e-mailed customer service and by the end of the day i had a reply with a few things to try to see if it would solve the problem, it didn't. So the following day I reached back out and showed them a few pictures of it working previously and then all the sudden it not, and again i received a reply by the end of the day saying they are giving the information to the engineering team and to hold tight while they look into it. A couple days later i received a message asking me to download the new update and try again, I did and it still didn't fix my issue, i was starting to lose faith. I emailed them back informing them of my findings and waited for a reply, sure enough i had it in a few hours and it told me they were working diligently on a new update to take care of this issue and to expect one in the near future, after about 5 or 6 more emails i was asked to try the newest update and report back, IT WORKED!!!! They had troubleshooted and fixed a very specific issues that one customer had and that was all it took to regain my faith in the company. Each email began with an apology for the issues i was having and ended with a positive message, felt like i was actually a customer who mattered.I can not give enough props to the customer service team, I'm not sure if i have ever experienced this caliber of care from a company.
