Bluetooth proxies
I used these as bluetooth proxies around my house. Work perfectly fine. I would recommend this seller.

I use these to detect the room my dogs are in
My first batch was delivered but lost, so Amazon sent a replacement batch. Works great! I use this in my Home Assistant network, and I flashed 2 with ESP home and the others with ESPrescne to be able to detect the room my dogs are in (they wear Tractive collar, which has bluetooth). Works great!

Good for certain applications
Everything works well IF powered by USB-power, but wireless is unreliable if powered from an external voltage source. I have several of these devkit boards from different manufacturers which MOST work well enough but this one has given me some trouble. I'm still thinking that I might have a noisy source power or some other issue that causes this as the ESP32 shouldn't exhibit this behavior without reason.

They just work
Great little board. Using it for signal generation on the built in DAC and it worked well. Never left me guessing. Consistent loading of sketches!

Decent board, but there a a couple of things that might bite you
These are great development boards, but I don't like this model because, 1) It uses micro USB versus USBC, 2) I have to hold the boot button while powering up to program it (unlike the USB C version which just programs when I send it a new upload). This one does have a port for an external 2.4 GHz WiFi antenna which I do like in some applications where the USB C version that I reference just has a cheesy build in WiFi antenna.

Multiple defective boards in the same batch
I ordered the D1 Mini ESP32 variant and all of the boards were defective in various ways. The first board had adjacent GPIO pins shorted together. The second board would not work over USB. The third had extremely poor WiFi reception where my old boards worked fine.
