Using a pair of HiLetGo nRF24L01 transceivers, have coded a way to switch a battery remotely, put the ESP32 to deep sleep and wake-up using external 0, RTC_GPIO, and power up/power down the transceivers.Have coded a way to accomplish task of remotely switching a battery, switching is by Async web server request. Request “control” variable, determine on/off option. “Control” variable selects one of two options. Each option has three tasks: task one, switches battery power, task two switches transceiver power mode, task three switches deep sleep state. Have not “field” tested project; tested with two multi-meter monitoring current of transceiver bus (only a pair of nRF24L01’s) checking voltages with the other multi-meter. Performs functions as coded; works well.Project is a work in progress.Pair of nRF24L01 current draw; transmitting is 30.4 mA in non-standby mode, 6.6 mA in Standby I mode measured with multi-meter. Transmissions will only be a very small fraction of a second.Couple of recommendations; identify ground pin using a multi-meter, purchase a nRF24L01 piggyback voltage adapter; allows use of five-volt power. Some boards have trouble supplying required transceiver current. Do not let early failures stop your project or ask to return defective transceivers. Fully explore reasons for failures. Mine turned out to be coding errors. If the code is not allowing transceiver to exchange data, check your code! Fault hardware last!

If you plan to use this with an arduino buy the NRF24L01 version instead of the NRF24L01+PA+LNA version. The NRF24L01+PA+LNA uses more power and the arduino can't supply enough power to be reliable. In my case they were only able to receive and not transmit. To fix this you could also use an external power supply.

One worked great. The other has a short between GND and MOSI. I build similar chips. Thusfar; I have been unable to find the short.

Everything works as should

Disappointed as I have ordered HiLetGo products before with little in the way of problems. I have used nRF24L01 & nRF24l01+PA+LNA many time and I have 4 that are pre-wired for prototyping. This pair WILL NOT transmit. But, they receive OK. I have swapped backwards and forwards with my prototype modules and there is just no doubt they are defective straight out of the bag.

Worked great with the flipper zero once properly soldered

I may have received 2 faulty transceivers, but neither of the ones i was shipped were capable of transmitting any data. The arduino's that I tried them on showed signs of trying to transmit, but nothing ever went across. When I tried sending signals to one of these using another nRF24L01 (the ones WITHOUT an external antenna) it received data just fine and consistently, even between rooms. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be going wrong? Ive spend multiple nights going through google searching this and no one else seems to have this issue :/EDIT: I finally realized after a few days of testing (yes I'm embarrassed but willing to admit it) that I wasnt supplying enough power to the transceiver. If you plan on using this with an arduino, be sure to use something besides the on board 3.3v pin to power this. The 3.3v pin is fine for the nRF24L01's without the attachable antenna, but these need more consistent and stronger current to reliably transmit data
