Shilajit is so valued in the Orient that it is tough to get the "good stuff" because the Japanese and Chinese snag the majority of production from India before it reaches the West. I first tried this when I ordered the Kidney Stone Remedy kit at stoneremedy dot com-- this is the exact formulation they use in their remedies, at a REALLY low price here on Amazon (lower than anywhere else I've found). If you Bing or Google the key words stone remedy, the above formula at stone remedy dot com comes up in ORGANIC (not advertised) search results above 21 million results-- Amazon will save you hundreds over those offers with the Jarrow formula. Buying it at Amazon is fast (especially if you are Prime), and the dating is very fresh, although frankly Shilajit is one of the few herbs that get better with age. I've set up one of those automatic monthly order deliveries on Amazon to stay in stock. I used to get it at Vitacost also, but Amazon's service and price are WAY better, and shipping is free with Prime.I've had kidney stone problems on and off for years, including surgery and many of those agonizing hospital visits (often at $12,000 plus each time), and Shilajit has stopped them dead in their tracks. Of course I also have to drink a lot of water and keep calcium down and oxylates to a minimum (peanut butter, chocolate and raspberries gone-- my favorite foods! Dropping the spinach wasn't as tough ;=)), but the fulvic acid and Shilajit-- which is an age old tar acid from the Himalayas-- has been the key for me.I can't honestly comment on all the other benefits claimed for this herb, which are many, but if you have, or know someone who has problems with Stones, check with your Urologist and then try this! Does no harm as a natural herb, but boy it sure zaps those stones before they get acute, at least for my type (calcium oxylate). I’ve been taking these a few days now, and I’m so glad I started back on a Shilajit supplement! Noticeable difference in energy and overall wellbeing. This is the first time buying Jarrow Shilajit but I take their b vitamins and they’ve been amazing for years! Such a reputable company to buy from!

My significant other and I started taking this to go on our holistic journey. I do feel like this improved our energy level as well as detox our body. Its A great product for the money. I do feel like it went up in price since buying it but the cost of everything has went up!

The title says it all. To make the COQ10 you ingest more available is the purpose of taking shilajit. (Maybe there are additional health benefits too but i haven’t researched it).

I feel the product does work somewhat, however I don't think it works as well as the previous brand I was using, so I will be switching back.

I use this as an alkalizing supplement and to help add some trace minerals to my system. It helps with energy levels (mildly for me), but I can definitely say I feel better taking it than not taking it. Saliva pH paper tests show a definite relationship between taking this supplement (higher alkalinity) and not (higher acidity). So I'll keep taking it to help keep my immune system healthy.I've tried an off-brand of Shilajit and like Jarrow's version better. Amazon's Subscribe & Save price is excellent; I'd recommend you do a Google search and Wikipedia search to learn more about Shilajit's use in ayurvedic medicine--too much detail to add here.
