I am a big fan of this drive - have two now. Easy to use and quick to unlock and connect to the PC. I did have a bit of trouble with the initial setup (curiously it worked fine on all my colleagues computers), but response from customer support was very quick and they sent a good set of instructions on how to reconfigure my PC.

This unit feels solid, weighty and well built to the point of indestructible for everyday work use. Research the unit online and you'll know any data you download will be secured to NATO Levels, General Intelligence and Security Services UK and higher. Well worth the extra expense for the sensitive Data Security you're looking for.

Agree with other reviewer. Initial setup a little tricky, but works very well after. Liked it so much I bought another as backup. Highly recommended.

Great device

It is provided with a patch for the windows disconnect issue. Due to the extra power usage of the keyboard you should connect this to a USB socket directly on the motherboard otherwise you WILL get disconnect issues. I will be getting a second one.

I bought this to use with my iPad Pro 2018 and it has worked well. The iPad Pro's iPadOS doesn't currently support software encryption for external storage/drives so hardware encryption seems to be the only option for using encrypted data. A USB C hub is required to allow connection to the USB A lead, but once connected and my (long) PIN is entered it unlocks and allows access to my files. It came formatted in exFat and once set up, it allows cross-platform use between PC, MacBook and iPad. Transfer speeds from PC and MacBook to/from SSD drive look good. Overall I am happy with this 128GB encrypted drive.

Needed to run a PowerShell script from support to stop it disconnecting from my Win10 machine after 30 seconds.

Had this a few weeks and so far seems easy to use and no problems. Comes with a convenient carrying case. My only concern is the USB connection cable is quite short which depending on where the USB slots are on your laptop can make placing the HDD in a convenient location quite awkward (I'm learning to type my PIN in upside down!). Also the USB cable is built into the unit so hoping that doesn't break with use as it could be difficult/impossible to repair.

I did a lot of research before I purchased this external hard drive. It’s phenomenal. I haven’t experienced the issues that others refer to in their reviews with slow transfer speeds. My transfer speeds for tens of gigabytes file transfers have been super fast, and I transferred tens of thousands of files to this external hard drive. I love that it has both military grade encryption and a keypad for security.macOS WARNING: if you are on a macOS Monterey operating system, you need to do some upfront work to reformat the device so that it’s macOS compatible. Otherwise macOS Monterey won’t recognize the (adapter connected to) USB drive. This is a universal problem for the macOS Monterey version. The Internet is pretty furious with Apple about this and Apple has no plans to fix. Reformatting instructions are included in the complete user manual, which hilarious enough, are only available in the iStorage device. I had to plug in the device to a Linux desktop to get the user manual. Once I reformatted the device to be macOS compatible, it worked like a charm, and my MacBook was able to recognize the device. Despite these initial difficulties, I still very highly recommend and will be purchasing a second device.

I'm finding the transfer rates very slow, less than 40mb/sec and the drive will shut down without active interaction after a short period even when conducting a transfer

The Device works great but has a very weak USB cable. that will weir out in about a year of daily use.
