I bought this to use in my small cargo van to take on camping trips, controlling a small ceramic heater for cold nights.I installed some magnets to the back of the control so I could mount it to a metal cabinet and run the heater off of my solar system's inverter to keep the temperature comfortable at night while not killing the battery. During the day, I can tuck it away in a cabinet when it's not needed.Nice to have something basic like this to control the temperature since most low power heaters don't have temperature control knobs.I did have to add some strain relief to the power cable and glued the back on to keep it secure, but otherwise, I couldn't ask for better.

Using this to monitor and control the temperature of the heater and my dog's house outside. It functions perfectly easy to install so far it's been keeping accurate temperature turning the heater on and off as needed keeping the temperature perfect My dog is happy

Sadly my space heater does not have a temperature control. So I purchased this device to regulate the heat in the room. You need to play with the temperature control know to have the room remain at a comfortable temperature, because the temperature control on this unit is far from accurate.

We have places in our house and work areas that are not served well by our main heat source, but putting an oil heater in those places tends towards the heaters making these areas too warm. I put the heaters on high and plugged into the heating and cooling plug and the heaters only come on briefly when needed to warm the room up to the temperature setpoint. These will work for us with air conditioners in the summer in the same way, by just sliding a switch on the back and plugging the AC into the heating/cooling plugs.To clarify things about the unit if you are one to look electronics over. The relay is in the plug, and a thin wire goes up to the temperature sensor. This is the way that relays work - no high voltage travels on the thin wire, only the on/off signal from the temperature sensor, so the thin wire is not going to burn up when used with appliances that draw a lot of current.

Regardless of where the dial is the heater never shuts off, the thermostat is not working correctly. It could just be this particular unit, no quality control i guess.

Super simple to use and nicely built.Plug the unit in and plug the controlled item into the back of the plug.The control box is at the end of the power cord (about 4 ft). I like this feature because I can put the control box at a convenient height to see.There is a switch on the back of the control box that determines whether the unit turns on a heater below a certain temp or turns on a fan above a certain temp (or what ever you are controlling).

It's not accurate.

Easy to use, just not very accurate and the slightest move on the temp will cause a big change, after about 20 tries and adjustments is finally set, but will not touch, as a simple small adjustment will cause a 10-15 degree change. But overall good to control small heater with no termostat
