The best part about this instant read thermometer is that when you retract the temp probe back into the case, it shuts off!! I've had several and if bumped they mysteriously turn on and when you go to use it, the battery is dead. I love this thermometer

This is a really good thermometer! Fast read time and very accurate! It also feels really solid in the hand, not lite and flimsy. Definitely recommend giving this a try if you are in the market for a new instant read!

Quick, accurate, easy to calibrate. I use it many times a day for baby formula and it's showing no signs of wear beyond a few scratches on the screen that don't impact readability. The hinge for the arm is difficult to clean, but there's not many reasons food would get in there to begin with

I can attest to the device’s functionality . It is virtually instant, the probe is long enough to avoid injury from steam or spattering oil. It is unfailingly acurate and even with regular use, after almost 18 mos. i’ve yet to change the batteries. The Thermopro Lightning is, dollar for dollar, an invaluable kitchen tool. But besides all that, their level of customer service is unparalleled. Buy this one. You won’t be sorry.

Great thermometer. It takes temps really fast. The display will shift if you are holding it from your left or right hand. The prong folds in to the side so it hides the sharp point! Only thing is cleaning it can be a little tedious because of the small crevasses. But by using a toothpicks, it can easily get things out. I will update once I use this for a year.

I should give it 4 stars because the battery was dead but this thing is amazing which is why I’m giving it 5. I’ve tried other meat probes, this is my 2nd ThermoPro and I love the instant temp read. I’ll probably buy 2 more, another one for me and one to give as a gift. I’m really loving these ThermoPro products.
