Brighter than Familite and Luxvista
When used in a torchiere, this LED bulb is a notch brighter than Familite and Luxvista "trapezoid" ones (although not quite as bright as the original 300W halogen that it replaces). When measured with Kill-A-Watt, this one is about 22W, compared to about 19W for the "trapezoid" ones. The downside is that at "half dim mode", it has a bit of a flicker. No flicker at full strength.

satisfactory replacement for a halogen bulb
I bought this bulb to give our halogen floor lamp a second life. It took some effort to install the bulb because its length was exactly the distance between the electrodes in the socket. A small flat screwdriver had to be used to fully depress one electrode while sliding the bulb into place.The LED bulb is almost as bright as the 300W halogen bulb that it replaced. We don't use the dimmer, but for testing purposes it dimmed well enough. With the LED bulb we use this lamp for ambient lighting in a large room for about 5 hours every evening for the past 2 weeks. What prevents this bulb from getting 5 stars is that after an hour it starts to flicker. The flickering is slight but noticeable. It also loses some brightness.Update 9/8/23 - After 8 months of usage (about 3 hours per day), this bulb is failing. It completely turns off for about 1 minute after being on for about 5-10 minutes, so it's continuously flashing on and off. It's also operating hot to the touch. I lowered my rating from 3 stars to 1 star.

Tight fit.
The lamp provides good light. I believe it'sa 3000K if not mistaken , which is not too harsh on the eys. I'm not sure if it's truly equal to the 300w quartz, but close enough to do the job. The led lamp is about 0.100" longer than the quartz which made for a slight struggle to fit, but it did fit nice and tight.

We replaced our halogen bulb with this LED bulb to reduce the heat output in our small TV room. The room is now a lot cooler.

Bright but flickers in the original halogen ballast
This was shipped from China and arrived in 3 weeks. I used it to replace a 300W halogen bulb in a torchiere lamp in a room having a cathedral ceiling. It throws plenty of light and of a less harsh quality than the halogen. Due to its large diameter, I had to remove the reflector/ heat shield of the lamp to fit the bulb. The light flickers which I understand is due to mismatch with the ballast.

Did not fit like the last one did
The design of the end pins is faulty. The housing for the end pins is too "fat", making the bulb impossible to insert into the holder in the lamp. The previous two bulbs from a different supplier fit my two lamps perfectly. I even tried modifying my lamp by using a Dremel grinding tool to cut away part of the two receptacles but that did not work. So, now I must go through the inconvenience of driving to UPS to make the return and now I must reorder the replacement.
