This is hands down the best advent calendar I have ever purchased. I have done individual calendars for my two girls ever since they were little. As they have gotten older it has been harder to find quality advent calendars for pre-teens and teenagers. My 12 year old that received this is loving it!!! She has been interested in magic for a while and these tricks do not disappoint. They are of good quality and she has mesmerized me with some...when usually I can figure them out quickly. They are not just for little kids and I feel like any magic loving age person would enjoy this. The one tricky part is the book shows you the next trick on the next page so if you don't want to know the next one ahead of time...you have to cover the page and not look. My daughter loves to be surprised so this has been easy for her to manage. I am MORE than pleased with this item and will be looking into the company's other advent calendars for the future. It is AWESOME!!!!!

My kids are loving this advent calendar! We've had quite a few different magic sets for kids over the years, and they have always been very disappointing - low quality materials that either break or make the secret of the trick obvious because of how poorly they are made, difficult slight-of-hand tricks that kids struggle with, etc.This set has been surprisingly opposite! We are more than halfway in, and the tricks have been easy and fun for both kids (ages 8 and 13). Some of the pieces are pretty cheap plastic, but we haven't had anything break or felt like the trick doesn't really work because of poor quality. They all work and are doable by the kids with only a little practice.A great follow-up gift to this set would be 2 cheap, identical decks of cards. A couple tricks damage the cards during the trick, so you want backups. You need 2 identical sets so that you can have 2 of the same card with the same design on the back.

My son has enjoyed opening each day to see what new magic he will learn. He is 10 and this keeps him and his friends very entertained. The instructions are very well written and easy to understand. However, there is also an instructional video you can access if you need a little extra help. We have bought magic trick kits in the past and they are ok but you end up not being able to use half the stuff because you don’t understand it or it’s so cheap that you can’t really do the trick well. Not with this box!!! Each trick is well made and has been so easy to understand. So glad we have this to enjoy this year!

My 7 yr old son wanted magic tricks so I thought this would be a perfect way to slowly introduce him. He also has ADHD and a tough time with fine motor skills, but still masters every trick this comes with. Some tricks are tougher so I would recommend 7+yrs. They ar3 so varied and really good quality with instruction book and instructional videos. We are on day 7 and my mind is even blown by most of these tricks. He's impressing kids at school with them too. And he will be ready for the talent show later this year with an arsenal of tricks to do! Definitely recommend this kit for boys or girls aged 7-13 especially. I bet even teens would have a blast with it.

Got this for my almost 9 year old daughter. I wasn't sure if she was going to love it, but I didn't want to get another chocolate or fidget spinner advent calendar, so i figured I'd give this a try. Am I glad I did, as soon as my little lovely gets home from school she runs to open the days trick, practices, and facetimes some family members to show off her new trick. It comes with an instruction booklet, but we skip that and scan the available QR code for a video of how the trick works.The tricks themselves are pretty cool, she's definitely stumped family members with a few of the tricks and they beg her to tell them how it's done. This is by far her favorite advent calendar and mine as well. It's cool to have a daily activity for us to do together. Would definitely recommend this for your littles!

My daughter was SO excited to see a card trick on day 3 and it turned out to be a complete disaster. The contents didn’t match the page description by half. My fingers are crossed that this is a ONE time mistake and my four stars will forever fair.** If it tells you anything, I’ve spent the last 10 YEARS collecting LEGO Advent calendar’s and oofed me to skip their adorable Lego advent gingerbread house this year, but I saw this trick a day and knew my daughter would go crazybox for it (she’s always watching tricks on YouTube/emulating) I.e.my expectations were 5 star. My son was excited about this advent calendar and the first few days we had fun with it, until we opened a few boxes and they were empty. My son was bummed out but enjoyed the other stuff.

Gave to grandson. Book explaining tricks easy to follow. Tricks were easy to perform. Only opened first 2 days while we were there.
