Simple easy to read dial
I use this to confirm soil temperatures for plant propagation (seed starting and plant cuttings). Works great, measure soil temperature quickly, and perfectly meets my needs. The build quality seems solid and it is more robust than I expected!

Perfect winner
I bought this one and another from Interdynamics. Both came fast and were calibrated great. I prefer this one because it’s easier to read at a quick glance. Great for verifying a/c after recharging system

Nice Soil Thermometer
I used for ground temperature before using lawn fertilizer. I assume it is accurate. I had nothing to compare it to.

A Must Have For The Garden
With an up and down Spring like we are having the air temps on any given day give no clues as to the actual soil temperature. But this easy to use soil thermometer takes all the guess work out and allow you to plant with confidence. It appears well built, is easy to read, and is decidedly accurate. Everything you could want at a very reasonable price. On top of that this company wastes no time in responding to orders. Ours showed up so fast I couldn't believe it !

Helps make up for what I lack in Garden Smarts
This year, for the first time, I'm trying to grow ginger in my less than tropical climate. The rhizomes are supposed to start putting out buds at up to 12 weeks after they're planted indoors in 80 degree soil. OK... that's a long time to sit and wonder if my investment is paying off, or if the temperature fluctuations in my house are making the ginger rot.I've got them on a heating mat (as directed) but since I couldn't live with the house at 80 degrees, I had t be able to keep track of the soil temp. This thermometer seems to be accurate enough, though I haven't tested it scientifically. It's definitely easy to read. And it has worked both indoors (with the ginger) and outdoors (where I'm anxiously awaiting warm enough soil to tuck in the heirloom tomatoes I started from seed.I especially like the colored band that indicates the ideal planting temperature range for a home garden.

Very nice!
I should've bought one of these things years ago. It'll take the guesswork out of applying product(s) to the lawn at the right time. I like that it came with a case & pocket clip. I look forward to using it this fall.

Handy sturdy thermometer
Tested this thermometer by placing it outside at 32 degrees and bringing it inside the house at 71 degrees. Took less than 3-4 minutes to reregister to 72. Small at 5 and a half inches long, the face is a little over an inch and half in diameter. The temperatures are easy to read. The thermometer has a pointed end and comes with a protective plastic "holster" to keep you from sticking yourself. The holster has a shirt-pocket clip. I plan to use it this spring to determine when to spread crabgrass preventer, 55-60 degrees for three or more days.
