Extremely cool! Took a fair while to get working, and the trigger to make the extra monitor be detected seemed to be 'extend' via CTRL + F key rather than display properties (which didn't work) - this has happened with my office set-up too, but it's all working now.Haven't managed to get the extra monitor (I have two, plus laptop screen) in a higher resolution (I think I am tied into the default that the device outputs), but the recommended / working one is fine for my purposes (DAW). Also, the through-port is a brilliant idea, to retain the USB the device is plugged into.Would like to mention that this company is the real deal. Packaging had nice, slick printing. Website is classy. Web-chat was active immediately, followed by a phone call from Canada (I'm in London) and a very helpful, friendly guy. Quite amazed, to be honest; you just don't encounter such service levels often, these days!EDIT, 23/10/17: I've now successfully set this up with my 2nd laptop (employer's) and again everything is perfect. This is a GREAT gadget! I now have 3 screens at home for work as well as leisure.

installed it and the third screen lit up and worked as an extended monitorbut the text on that screen is a bit blurry. I thought I was tired that day and didn't pay much of attentionthen the following two days I did more test on different pc and the results were the same, the text on the screen which attached to this device was blurry and my colleague commented the same.I had to return this as I can't afford my eyes going nuts when trying to read things on that screen.

I bought this for a MAC. Some of the questions indicated it would work with the DisplayLInk Driver but despite ongoing support from them I never got it to work.The Item was returned.

This works well but has problems reconnecting if the PC is put to sleep. It is hit and miss after you suspend the PC if the monitor will work again. If the display does not work you can only resolve it by a reboot. They claim changing USB settings will resolve the issue but I tried this and it did not make any difference.

Works as expected, on my laptop this allows me to connect another screen to extend my desktop onto.So I have 2 screens plus my laptop screen working independently.
