I recently purchased this OBD scanner to use with the Torque Pro app on my Android phone. I am very happy with the scanner and the app, and I would highly recommend them to any car owner.The scanner is very easy to use. Simply connect it to your car's OBD2 port and open the Torque Pro app. The app will automatically scan your car's computer and display a variety of information, including engine RPM, fuel consumption, and current emissions. I needed it to troubleshoot misfiring on some cylinders.The Torque Pro app also allows you to view and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). This can be helpful if your car is experiencing any problems.I have been using the OBD scanner and Torque Pro app for a few weeks now, and I have been very impressed with them. They are both very reliable and easy to use. This is one awesome little piece of equipment! I am not all that vehicle savvy, I can change my oil, do my brakes, and rotate my tires, but that is about it. I have always been irritated when I see the idiot light come on and wonder not only what it means, but if I have to get it to the shop asap. In these days of computer managed cars, we have less and less logical hunches to go on. I recently bought a new truck and after only 1200 miles the check engine light came on. With steam coming off my head I ordered this with 2 day shipping. Fortunately I did not have to take the vehicle on the road before the scanner arrived. When it arrived, I had already downloaded several apps on my android and was ready to give it a shot, even though I was sure that the information would be miles over my head.I was wrong, between the apps and this little wonder I found that it was a temporary warning due to a single misfire on cylinder 5. I consulted a mechanic friend and he says that happens with new cars and goes away. Then he asked me how I figured out that symptom. I told him and he said "Pretty cool, most people panic and bring it in to the shop" I drove it to work the next day and sure enough the light went out.I plugged the scanner in again and it showed that the alert had indeed been reset.Since then I have learned all kind of interesting things about my truck. Immediate MPG as opposed to measurements over time and distance. I can tell how my drive train is distributing the load across the wheels as the conditions change, I can see how my braking system works under different conditions, even how my transmission shifts under different types of driving. When I showed this to several friends who are "Mechanic Minded" they were impressed with what it does for the cost and ease of understanding. all were impressed by the accuracy of the diagnosticsThis is pretty freaking COOL! I like anything that makes it easier to understand things I am not so well versed in, and this device does it in spades. Actually let me say this device and the corresponding App do it in spades.When choosing apps, start with the free ones and see what kind of feedback you prefer. when you find the one or ones you like, there is almost always a pro version available for a small amount of money, but some of the free ones will do the trick without purchase. It depends on the level you want to take it to.In terms of ease of use:It only fits on one way, there is nothing to worry about with putting it on wrong.If you can pair your phone or tablet to any bluetooth device, you can set this upIf you have children or a spouse that thinks a vehicle runs on moonbeams and happy thoughts then freaks out when a light comes on, they can plug this in and understand the output.Final thought, with what this does, and for what it costs, this is peace of mind at a pittance. I've only used this a few times w/ Galaxy J7 using Torque Pro app...the pairing code was "1234"...works fine. Sometimes these will be cheap and dont work, but it gets job done...pairs quicker than last one of these I owned. Used it to measure four 02 sensors (banks 1/2, upstream/downstream) and laid em out on graph PIDs that were easy to set up.Its important to be using a decent phone and app w/ these...I paid $5 for Torque Pro edition (not Lite) 5 years ago, and its followed me thru several phones. If you use a cheap free app that's overloaded w/ ads instead of features or if your phone sucks...OR if you're just not proficient w/ an OBD2 scan tool...then dont bother with this.If you only seek to clear/read codes or check emissions monitors, this will do that but you could probably find a $20 junk scanner somewhere that'll also do it.This is good for auto techs/mechanics to keep as a side tool. I use a Snap On Modis at my shop, but keep this in my car to monitor my specific vehicle profiles,and to diagnose cars outside of work. I get a good PID list of live data w/ this setup....freeze frame,manufacturer's codes, pending codes...no SRS/ABS...its also cool I can send fault logs via email. Yesterday I used it to share a fault log for a Jeep w/ 4 DTCs, freeze frame, and a snapshot of some relative PIDs it had to my service writer while I was 2 miles away test driving itMy only complaint so far is the size...its very small/short...so it's harder to place into or remove from DLC...I imagine it's also easier to forget, and have customer drive off with the tool. Some of these are longer, easier to grab, and have USB inputs so you can wire direct to laptop if you want, but the bluetooth functionality is really all I need. I dont do any reprogramming or anything like that, so I dont need a tool more advanced than this since I also have access to a several thousand $ snapon scanner.I dont recommend this to people who dont know what they are doing...I dont recommend these people do ANYTHING to cars unless they're accepting of how possible it is to mess something up.I had a customer come in the other day who had a $90-120 model of a dongle like this w/ more capabilities...he had pulled some EVAP/engine codes, and had "diagnosed" it himself (incorrectly) and wanted me to fix something that wasnt the issue. Things like this annoy me. He had also adjusted his valve clearances because he saw this mentioned as something to do in service intervals, and I wound up replacing his camshaft and his motor will never be the same because of damage. Stuff like this annoys me.

Can definitely recommend this tool as it works just great. Have it permanently in a container in my car now.
