Measure carefully which size you need and I suggest going up a mat size if you can and if the size will fit in your oven. Working with pastry and bread can be a messy affair. I have tiled marble counters with grouting and was tired of the worry and fuss of cleaning the grout gaps as well as the wear and tear on the marble. Purchased the 36 x 24 inches to cover a large work surface which will also double as a mat for food prep to protect my counters ***while using a cutting board*** (do NOT cut on the mat directly with a knife EVER). Good value, great mat that does everything I need it to do and excellent quality. It arrived folded (which was odd as it specifically says not to fold) with a robust elastic band to roll it up and store it away. It is strong, conveniently easy to grab and unroll and was sized as expected. I purchased the red bordered mat and would have preferred a gray with black border, but not available. Has handy volumetric conversions from grams to ounces, is usable in the oven up to 240C 470F but the size I bought definitely will not fit in my oven, it's more for working with dough and pastry. I have another one I use for my oven. Would purchase again and recommend this item.

I bought this mat Dec 16, 2022. This mat is by far one of the best purchases I have made off of Amazon. The mat is super easy to use. It has terrific grip and stays in place while rolling out basically anything you are making. I have made tons of different types of dough on this mat. The measuring rings are perfect for pizza crusts, pie crusts, biscuits etc. My mat still looks brand new. There is not even a scratch on it. I highly suggest to never use sharp knives or dough cutters on it. Make sure to always wipe off when done. After I am done with my mat I take a dry paper towel and wipe off whatever I can. If I was only using flour it’s usually clean and I roll up and store. If I was using sticky fillings or meat fillings I take the extra step and sponge off with soapy water, pat dry, then let it sit for 10ish minutes, roll up and store. If you have a home that is small and do not have a place to roll dough, this mat is the only mat for you. You can even put boards on your floor then this mat and roll out dough. This mat would be perfect for school projects, especially if making or playing with play dough. This is a perfect holiday gift for any of your baker friends. I frequently link this mat to my friends and family who are in search of a mat. I would love to try out some of the other sizes to see how it compares to the xxl. The mat is huge but that is okay. On my small countertop I let it go up the side wall so that way I don’t get flour everywhere. It’s so sturdy and never falls down. I can fully let it down on my island no problem. This mat is for every household big or small. You don’t need to do anymore research if you are reading this review. I am an avid researcher and I take time to figure out best options. Again, this is one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon. You can’t beat the durability of this mat with anyone else.

I LOVE this silicone mat! I have used silicone mats for years to line cookie sheets and bake bread, but I had never used one to roll out pie crust or pizza dough. However, I was recently visiting a family member and helping to cook pizza and cream pies when she brought out this mat. I was amazed at how easily and accurately I was able to roll out dough, and to get it into a pan without having it stretch out of shape. Just roll out the pizza or pie dough to the measurements, put the pan on it, flip it, and peel off the mat! I ordered one for myself and have been using it ever since (last night for margherita pizza).The mat is easy to clean, but it takes a little practice to keep from sending water all over the place because it is so big. I find that if I keep it partially rolled while rinsing it, the water shedding is kept to a minimum. That is a small inconvenience, though, for the nice size of it. It is also a bit challenging to store because it shouldn't be folded, but I find that if I wrap it around my French rolling pin, it doesn't take up any extra space in the drawer.I'm sure that I will find additional uses for it when I have had it for a little longer time.The price is also reasonable, considering the size and quality. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this mat to anyone who likes to cook at home from scratch.

I had a Tupperware mat that disintegrated & faded after 35 years & I needed a new mat. I love this replacement. The thickness of the mat is exceptional. Before I always had to place a wet towel or dish rag under the mat to keep it from sliding. With this mat it stays put without having to keep something damp underneath. I also like the markings in inches for pastries. In fact, I just made a batch of Polish Cookies today and it worked out perfect! It rolls up nicely and when I unroll it, it lays flat. Great product for bakers! TY

Nice and large. Downside,for me, hard to clean because it's so large.

Perfect provided that is proves durable!It clings to surfaces and the most vigorous rolling will not move cause it to slide. (Corian countertops.)A sturdy egg dough like used for cinnamon rolls does not even require flowering to prevent sticking!I can't wait to make rolled dumplings as the less flour you have to roll in to make it workable on the surface the better!The measurement scales are a great resource.Like any similar mat it is subject to damage when you cut items directly on the mat. If your work can reasonable roll or transfer via rolling to a wooden surface for cutting this mat will likely surprise you with the ease.Of course cutting directly on the matt should be avoided whenever possible and this matt makes it rather easy to roll and transfer to a lightly floured cutting board.

I just received this mat. It looks and feels sturdy. You can prepare the dough for just about anything, including those with diameter that will need a commercial oven to bake!It's odor-free. I expect it to be easy to use and easy to clean. Like everything else on Amazon, it's too expensive for what it is (another made in China product...for pennies).
