Value for money - does what it claims to.
I really wasn’t impressed when I set it up, but there was still daylight. Once it went dark the light came into its own, the screen wasn’t piercing my eyes, the keyboard and desk were gently lit and there was no glare or screen reflection like there is with my standard desk lamp.Clamp is nice and heavy with adjustable stops for different screen shapes. The bar is sturdy, never see it wobble, and it’s easy to set up. Aside from some symbols and branding, it’s very sleek and just blends into the monitor, doesn’t take desk space so keeps things tidy and as minimal as possible.Minor gripe the cable being usb a to c, and the clamp slightly covering some screen space but nothing that’s used. I don’t see the value in getting a remote one, this is perfect. No experience with the BenQ one as that’s several times more expensive.

Great monitor bar light
Great little light, the brightest is good and more than adequate. It's very useful for reading in the morning without turning on the main light. My keyboard buttons do reflect a little bit especially the sections where the texture of the buttons is slightly worn but this is nothing to do with the light. You do get brightest options, and once turned down it's ok and you can see the label on each button. There are colour temperature options, cool white is nice in the morning when you want to be more alert and the warm white is good in the evening when you are likely to be winding down. There is a bonus light sensor which dimms the light when appropriate, but I believe you have to manually activate it each time you turn the light on. I don't find myself using that option much as I don't use the light during the day.You can either press the buttons for colour temp and brightest once to cycle through the different options or you can hold the button for the options to change gradually.I like that the light doesn't just rest on top of the monitor like my Logitech camera but rather has a spring loaded clip along with the weight to keep it secure. It's not too tight to the point where it will damage the monitor but it's also secure enough for it not to fall off when tilting the monitor side to side. You do get an adaptor for it to suit different monitors although I believe it will work best on square bezels.I managed to fit my Logitech camera on top (literally just rests on top) of the light and secured it with the elastic band that came with the cable for the light. Again, doesn't move or feel like it will fall under normal use and tilting of the monitor side to side. The light and camera will likely fall if u knock it with your arm thought. It does make my monitor look like some type of alien transformer which I'm not a fan of but you can't have your cake and eat it too.You get a very long USB Type C cable to Standard USB which I had to coil and tie to the back of my monitor, although it would be useful for those who need to plug into their computer directly.

Excellent alternative to BenQ for lighting and ease of set-up and use
I typically work in a dark environment as a programmer, and thus like to use dark-mode in my IDE background (whoever reading this uses light background needs to be detained...) and thus i typically find myself with eye-strain, headaches or simply struggling to see among all the dark.I saw on instagram that BenQ light bars were quite common and used by many, to be honest they look great and I considered the halo. The price tag however speaks volumes and thus I considered this alternative after reading many reviews. I am quite the hesitant buyer but rest assured when I say that quality wise in the buttons, controls and lighting that this is excellent, especially considering the pice tag.My monitor has an arc which means it's not as stable but I honestly see no problem with it considering not only is it much cheaper, but there is no remote required and that it is all controllable via the bar itself.Provided is a few adjustment the square attachable to the base which help secure to the monitor, very nice and very well built.Excellent product overall!

Superlative in every way
The media could not be loaded. This is without a doubt the best purchase decision I have made in a long time.Granted this is just a lamp it has to be the best and most useful lamp for any PC user not having spacious or adequate lighting.**I have noticed a few comments of people saying that the removable protector gets stuck under the bezel and rips when removed. This is because it’s not been removed correctly. To remove the protector, slowly peal it away but directly across the light (not towards you) to the right. This way it comes off cleanly and leaves no remains. Added a video so you can see**When you get this out the box it already feels of a high build quality. In the box you also get a USB-A to USB-C cable which the C end goes into the lamp, mounting bracket than can be easily adjusted, alan key for adjusting the tightness of the bracket and manual. There are 4 levels of brightness, 4 color tones an on/off switch and auto brightness switch. All of these are selectable by using the touch buttons. You can rotate the light so this does not glare on your screen and the light is 98% on the desk/keyboard.The light is made up of individual LEDs and does not have any defuser coating or cover. To be honest you won’t notice and doesn’t suffer from any shadowing effect like on other cheaper lamps. For my monitor which is a thin bezel 24” Asus, it fits perfectly and doesn’t suffer from any noticeable wobble unless I’m tapping the very ends of the light. I also use a triple monitor setup and after testing I can see no light bleeding across to the other monitors which are angled inwards like a curved display. If your on the fence or looking at other PC lamps then this could be the one for you. I highly recommend this for any gamer or someone who need adequate lighting where your normal lights or lamp are either to bright or not bright enough.
