the lid is plastic, there's no metal on it. It also doesn't measure at all very inconsistent poor. It's fine though

Great for sugar or creamer
I got this to use with non dairy creamer and it's a convenient size to keep by the coffee machine. Flip top makes it easy to pour and keeps the air out of it.
