Q: I have two switches to control my fan and light on the fan. If I remove the light switch, can this unit control fan speed and light brightness?

Yes. That is exactly what I did. The instructions point out the wires providing power to each (fan and light). This unit simply provides a single box with a separate switch for each. The hot for the fan will go to the fan switch wire and the hot for the light will go to the light switch wire on the new switch. All of the neutrals will tie together and then tie to the neutral on the new switch. The same for the ground. Keep in mind that for the fan, while the switch allows for 4 speed levels, those are within the current fan speed setting. It doesn't take over the 3 speed options on your fan. Hope that makes sense.

Q: My fan has a litex wci-100 wall switch which i think means the fan has a receiver in it. can this replace the litex wall switch without rewiring fan?

I don’t know that specific number however I can speak to how my situation was ......my fan had a receiver in it with the switch on the wall . I had to take the receiver out of the fan and then hook up the wires the way they were before the receiver was put in. then hooked up the wires in the switch box for the new switch per directions in the box.....everything worked great. The hardest part was putting the fan wires back the way they were before the old receiver was put in

Hello, if you want to remove the smart fan switch from your mobile app, you can do it on your mobile phone. Open the APP interface and select the switch you don't need to delete. Hope it helps you.

Q: I have a fan with no light and can lights in my room. Will this work with that setup?

Absolutely yes, as long as: 1) the bulbs are dimmable 2) the switch being replaced is the only switch controlling the lights (SPST) and the neutral for the existing lights go back to the same breaker panel (same neutral buss) as the fan. Yes, one work box can have lines from two different breaker panels. I have seen it. 3) the total load, all bulbs added together, cannot exceed 150w for LED or 300w for incandescent. Do not use a mix of LED and incandescent. No fluorescents. The switch is entirely agnostic as to what light fixture it is controlling. It has no idea whether it is in the same fixture or different fixtures. The light switch appears as an entirely different control both in the native Treatlife app and in Amazon Alexa so, they can be controlled independently as a light and as a fan.
