Watercolor Flowers Chinese Style: A Beginner's Step-by-Step Guide

Love love love the projects in this book. The techniques taught are full of expression light and energy. The Chinese culture and traditions that are taught alongside are beautiful. Highly recommended

Not what I was expecting. The theme of Chinese watercolour was less about technique and more to do with themes of seasonal events on the traditional Chinese calendar. Also some of the wet in wet techniques were not explained well.

This is my new favourite art book. There is a lot of information in here! For some reason I thought it would be about how to Freeland the painting g without a sketch. You still have to sketch but the way you colour in the sketch is different.

Author is very good with nice ideas and paintings but a little too much color mixing as I’m new to that.

I found this book very helpful in explaining how the author goes about painting botanical flowers in his style. He shows how he does this step by step and lists the colours that he uses.
