Blacker than the Hinges of Hell and Wow does it last
I'm in the real estate business and use plastic signs to mark property lines. The ink in the Sharpies lasted less than six months in the sun before the ink faded to unreadable. With the Pilot markers the ink lasted 2 years, and stayed black as the hinges of Hell the whole time. When it comes to picking a marker that I need the ink to really hold up over the long term, that was all the evidence I needed.

Gambled and Lost
When you get a good Pilot Super Color, it feels amazing. Smooth, solid, and dark black. HOWEVER, every 12 pack I've purchased has at LEAST 3 duds. The only thing they're good for are decoys to keep the good ones for yourself. This isn't even an Amazon problem, this goes right back to Pilot. Didn't even bother refilling or i would have bought empty markers from Art Primo. If you go with these, be prepared to open up a 9-pack with 3 disappointments to fill out the rest of the box.
