An Arnold Lobel Treasury

Excellent stories and art. Highly recommend.

Arnold Lobel stories engage readers of all ages. Though they are simple, even adults will find themselves wondering what happens next and laughing at the characters. This treasury features more than just Owl stories. It also includes grasshopper stories and Mouse Soup. My kids listen to these over and over again, drawn in by the pictures of a softly adventurous world in which characters learn life lessons and do silly things. I recommend all of Lobel's work, especially the Owl stories.

Stickers on the front cover and a child’s pencil writing on two of the pages made me wish this had been priced lower or that I’d sprung for a new copy for slightly more. The damages were cosmetic and didn’t get in the way of reading the great stories to my daughter, but I’ve gotten free used books from the library in similar condition.

Great condition

One of the best books around for young children. Buy a dozen, give them as baby gifts, birthday gifts.
