Hunter Node-BT-100-LS Single Zone Bluetooth Enabled Irrigation Controller, DC Solenoid Not Included, One Station 9V Timer NODEBT100LS

I used this product with an Irritrol sprinkler valve that has broken wiring between the valve and controller. This did the trick, lets me program 3 separate programs (I use 1 for normal watering schedule, 1 for overseeding schedule), and offers up to 8 start times and plenty of runtime options for the zone. This has far more flexibility than even my sprinkler controller itself (but that's because it's from 1991), and was pretty simple to set up and get going.The one and only downside I'd say is the lack of range for the bluetooth connectivity. The product states 50' line of sight, but my experience is more like 10-15'. Regardless of that, once you set up the schedules you don't really need to connect anymore, but don't expect to be able to turn your valves on that might be way out in your yard without walking up next to it to connect.The other thing that could be improved is more on the app side than the actual product. It would be nice if you could set up schedules and change things around without being connected to the device, and then sync your new settings upon connection.Overall, a great low cost, easy solution to needing to get a valve up and running especially if you don't want to dig up your entire yard looking for a broken wire. One thing though, don't forget a DC solenoid for your brand of sprinkler valve. The 24v AC solenoids that work with the control units that plug into the wall WILL NOT WORK. YOU MUST HAVE A 9-11v DC LOCKING SOLENOID.

Don't even think about buying the non-blue toothed model. A normal bluetooth range of about thirty five feet will be reduce if it's in an underground valve box, which is to be expected. Must use a 9 volt DC latching solenoid that's made for your valve; they are not one-type-fits-all. But the Hunter controller will work with all types of 9 volt DC latching solenoids.

Easily swapped this out with the existing hunter node I had. It is easy to control and with the app there is no guess work in setting up your watering schedules.

Bluetooth doesn't function even one foot away!

I have used manual HUNTER valves for years in valve boxes where my electric wires have eroded. Only recently did I switch to the Bluetooth connections and with the App they are so much more convenient to change times, etc. Bluetooth works about 30feet with my valve box in the ground. Way worth it.
