Functional mattress. However, it is too small for the twin bed frame. It is both too narrow and too short, not hugely so but enough that it is inconvenient since it can shift or allow toys/stuffed animals to get stuck places. When I first opened it, I thought it was because it hadn't fully expanded, but the mattress did not expand any more over the next however many days (I believe 3) that was recommended.I kept it because the bed it's on is against a wall and is used by my toddler, so we can make it work. Would not buy again, though.

I've suffered with a pillow top mattress that was initially a dream, but after several moves, and the last storage experience where it was folded like a taco, it left a lot to be desired. Thus, my search for a replacement that would fulfill all of my dreams began. After a lot of research, I learned that the deeper a mattress was, the level of support would be equivalent in a counter-intuitive way. So, even though it would seem that a twelve or fifteen inch mattress would be a heavenly dream, the opposite was actually the truth. After my taco mattress, I wanted as much support as possible. So, I gave this 6 inch mattress a chance. A review that I read (or perhaps it was a response to a question about the product) indicated that the buyer was a "woman of size" - a self-reported 450 lbs, and she found that it was very comfortable and had withstood her girth for well over a year. Doing some quick math, I knew that my husband and I together would weigh less than the brave big girl, and ordered the little guy. My theory being that if it was a disappointment, it was not an expensive disappointment and would most definitely be a better sleeping option than the taco mattress. After one night, my husband and I both were delighted to find that we arose without back issues. As a matter of fact (or maybe it's a "mattress of fact") the covered coils provide spring that seem to propel you out of bed. I will warn that this mattress will be a little "noisier" than a memory foam mattress, but is well worth the squeak.***After many nights sleeping upon this mattress, I thought it might be a helpful piece of information to know that this mattress stays cool! Can't wait for summer to really test it out, but I'm not getting out of a hot cocoon each morning & that's a definite plus!

Before I begin, I need to say that the only good thing about purchasing this mattress is that Amazon did refund my money after I called to return it. That is the only reason this mattress is getting a star. If I had the option, I would give it -20 stars.The smell of this mattress is absolutely unbearable. The bottom of the mattress is coded with some type of organic material and it smells like you are in the middle of a large herd of goats. The odor is so strong that when I put the mattress on my brand new bed frame, it got transferred onto the wood and now my bed and new mattress smell like goats.The inside of the mattress, on the other hand, smells like wet, humid, and moldy basement. The smell of mold, combined with the smell of goats, kept waking me up in the middle of the night for the seven nights I used it. In the end, it made me so nauseous that I decided to sleep on the floor to avoid the horrible smell.I honestly did my best to remedy the issue. I wanted to give it some time and let the mattress air out, so I slept mostly with my nose pointing towards the ceiling. When that did not work, I went online and found out that a lot of people had gotten rid of their new mattress smell by spraying it with distilled vinegar, after which, they recommended baking soda application over the entire mattress. So I sprayed it with vinegar and let it dry, after which I applied baking soda. The end result was a moldy mattress that smelled like goats living in a humid basement, with a strong smell of old sweat due to the vinegar and body spray I used to mask the smell of vinegar.So I called Amazon customer service to return it, expecting to be told to go to the local UPS store for a return. Well, get this: they did not want it. She said you can dispose of it or donate it. I got a full refund 3 days later. Now the mattress is in the basement, which smells better than the actual mattress.Soon after my call to Amazon customer service, I went to my local furniture store and I got a 10 inch mattress for $120 including tax, which is $20 more than the moldy one, and it had absolutely no odor, until I put it on my bed frame that I used from the old one. Now I have a brand new bed and mattress that smell like goat, because everything that stinky mattresses touched smelled like it after it was removed.Now I will have to wait until spring for a warmer weather, until I can open my window and hopefully air my room out for good.As to how this product passed quality control and inspection, and was packaged to be sold to customers, I could not tell you. All I can say is that the quality of this product is absolutely unacceptable.To anyone thinking about buying this mattress, don’t. Instead, go to your local furniture store and see what they have to offer first. I got my new mattress for $99 without tax and it was made locally, it was not a bed it a stinky box, and a good 4 inch thicker that Mr. stinky.

Purchased this mattress in twin size in 2019 for my daughter and it was perfect and surprisingly comfy I’ve slept on it many nights with her and has lasted her from ages 3-9. She could still use it but I’m upgrading her room and switching to a full size bed. I came to view my past orders just to find this mattress to order it in full size thankful they still have it. It works perfect with loft beds which she is getting again as well.
