Well Worth The Money
After having 2 cars have issues a Friday apart, 1 alternator the other fuel pump, both had batteries that were taxed and running out of steam. Or so I thought. 1 is an OEM agm that's just at 6 years old, so it's a stretch for life and that particular vehicle has a strong amp and subwoofer, so it puts a heavier draw on the system. The other is 6.5 years old lead acid OEM battery I thought for sure was nearing it's EOL.Well, after watching the video for Project Farm, it was down to this TopDon unit or the Ancel, but being they were both almost the same price, this unit won.The battery replacements would have been $180 each, or $360 plus tax, which would have put them at just under $400 for the pair. Rather than just jump and replace them, I figured I'd invest in this tool to be 100%sure since the big membership store doesn't do any testing or installation of the batteries. Wouldn't you know, both batteries showed good health. The oldest of the 2 actually showed full green lights, good health in the high 90% range with solid CCA readings. The other agm, it also showed good, but was in the yellow light section and was in the upper 70% range of health. This tool saved me $350-ish dollars and will serve me well down the road no doubt. Don't hesitate, this is a solid tool.

You get a lot of information in a very short time, I like it.
This little jewel seems to cover pretty much everything the Life and Strength of your battery, Plus check the starter draw which I have a tool that I call a little toaster because when I hook it up, it actually has a wire that glows red hot , you hold that for 10 seconds and when you release it, then it tells you the strength of your battery so it would simulate a starter cranking. It also checks the alternator current to make sure it is working correctly, for what you pay for it I think you get a very good little unit. {value for your money} It will tell you whether the battery is good bad or needs to charged just with lights plus you could look at the information and learn how to read it to get the same information but it will give you the lights and make it simpl. The cable length, could be a little longer for the starter test and alternator test because they ask you to start the engine, then change the setting to alternator test, then hold the throttle to obtain 2500 RPM for five seconds. You could sit in the car and do it all otherwise you are running back-and-forth to change the settings on the tester.I have tested 11 different batteries so far and it's read what I would consider to be reliable and accurate information on every one.I like, it's a good little tester.

Very accurate - within 0.01V of my lab-calibrated 5.5-digit DMM
Basic voltage readings are very accurate for an inexpensive unit. I like that it contains no batteries to go bad, it's just powered off the battery you are testing. Backlit display has already come in useful checking a car battery outside at night, and the menus are very easy to navigate - you probably won't even need to read the manual.Based upon a few popular online video reviews, this unit appears to produce among the most accurate test results from among a pretty wide selection of battery testers currently on the market. Tests suggest it even outperforms the more expensive Topdon BT200. Topdon makes well regarded scan tools, so at least they have some brand value to protect by ensuring they put out a quality product. To me this hits the value sweet spot, and gives me a lot more confidence than random-brand units costing 10 to 15 dollars less. No real need to step up to the more expensive models unless a color screen is super important to you.Quite happy with it so far.

Compact, inexpensive, functional
Keep this little guy on hand to check battery capacity in you on or off road vehicles. Volt meters don't indicate battery health, yet this does. Every backyard wrench turner should have on. Easy to read and use with its large displat
