Is this suitable for instaling in a campervan?

Thank you for your enquiry.

This unit could be installed in a campervan. You would need to check that the campervan can fit the solar panels to the roof. You would also need to check whether you had any existing 12V electronics on board as this system is designed at 24V. It is possible to get a converter to drop the voltage of the battery to 12V for these appliances but it’s worth thinking about now to avoid any compatibility issues down the line. This also applies to if you had an existing mains or split charging system in the van.

How can the panels be only 4mm thick when in a frame ?

Thank you for getting in touch about our complete off grid systems. These panels are 4cm deep rather than 4mm. This depth accounts for the hollow aluminium frame around the panel.

Would this be able to run a 50watt laser for a few hours a day?

Thank you for your interest in our complete off grid systems. The inverter in this system is rated at 2KW and could therefore power a 230V 50W laser for as long as there was battery power. The amount of power you will generate from the solar array will depend on several factors including panel tilt, panel location and time of year, but assuming your inverter is turned off when not in use, you should be able to power your laser for several hours a say in most situations.

will this pull my warming system. Heating my water tank

This kit has a 2000W inverter within it. This means it can power devices up to a maximum of 2000W. So if your heater uses less than this then the inverter would most likely be able to power it. Depending on how long and how powerful the heater is, it will affect whether there is enough stored battery power to give you the desired run time as well as how long it then takes the solar to recharge. We can give you some rough estimates for this if you like, if so please feel free to message us back with the rating of your heater as well as how long you need to run it per day.
