Bought this handheld gaming console for my son's 13th birthday as a last minute extra gift. I checked it out for a bit while I had it charging, and its not a bad little unit. I really like having the Li-ion rechargeable battery(the battery instantly got me thinking, 'It really looks like some of my old cell phone batteries, maybe I could use them as extras? I dunno.. <g>) My son said it is pretty cool and seems to like it so far..Anyhow, it has TONS of games to choose from, and all the controls seem to work really good. I think I am in agreement with some of the other reviewers when they say that it would've been nice to include a headphone jack for silent play, but I knew it didn't have that feature before buying, and I purchased it nonetheless. Overall, this gaming unit delivers quite alot of portable handheld entertainment value for a very reasonable price.

it is pretty fun. it has a lot of games. all that games are my children memory. My wife and i love it so much. it has one usb cable and one cable connect to tv. if you think the screen is small，you can try to play via tv.

I bought this for my mother, who loves retro video games. I initially tested it out for her to ensure it would work properly. Aside from having to continually select the language at the main menu (no save feature), and some of the thumbnails not matching the game titles, it is well-worth the amount paid. I was amazed that the console included Mario Bros., Pac-Man, several classic Donkey Kong games, 1942 and Millepede. This is a great gift idea for the gamer who has everything.

I just got it. Now I personally didn't buy this for a kid. I actually wanted it for road trips. I have not hooked up to my tv yet, but I am excited to do so! I enjoy the games I have played so far!

I really liked all the retro games. It seems fragile a bit. Charging plug stopped working, but manufacturers customer service replaced the old one within a weeks time. That makes good in my book. Oh yeah, to all the oldschool gamers. The Contra code still works!!!!!

The charging port of the console broke and did not charge.

Great item!! So many games, sweet! But I'm a huge Mario Bros fan and want MORE Mario games.

Grandson has been playing with this for hours, he is 10 years old. Now that is a great recommendation.
