The special packaging keeps the rooibos fresh even after you begin using it. Because I suffer from acid reflux I was searching for a tea that would still deliver on flavor and health benefits. In this product, I've found my substitute beverage. Read on for my detailed thoughts:I love tea. I love it hot or iced. I love it black, green, and white. So, when I developed acid reflux, I was disappointed to learn I would have to give up caffeine and acidic drinks. Bye-bye tea.I missed my tea routine, having a good tasting beverage, and the health benefits of tea (e.g., antioxidants). I knew from past experience that herbal "teas" would not work as a substitute. First, they're not teas; they're infusions. Most taste like you're drinking potpourri. If that's your thing, go for it. Third, the health benefits vary widely.I wanted something close to actual black tea. Rooibos gets me there. After steeping, It has a deep dark reddish brown color, not quite the color of a black tea, but close. If you take milk with your rooibos it becomes virtually indistinguishable from black with milk. The flavor is full, complex and rounded as with a good black tea. However, the tea itself is quite different. Rooibos has a naturally, slightly sweet quality and hints of an almost Chai tea.I drink rooibos hot or cold, with or without a splash of milk. For a dessert tea, I'll add a teaspoon of sugar or touch of honey.I've tried a few other brands before settling on this one as it delivers good value and great taste. By the way, the tea bags are divided in four separate wrappers. Air is the enemy of tea. So, I really appreciate this packaging design because I'm not exposing the entire package to air when I open it the first time. The rooibos stays fresh.Now, let me tell you how it affects my acid reflux: it does not. I can have one to four cups a day with no problem. I don't know what my top limit really is. If you suffer from reflux (GERD), you should ask your healthcare provider or registered dietician about rooibos. I also suggest reading articles on reputable sites about the health benefits of rooibos. This particular product also has the advantage of being organic. Tasty and good for you!

Regarding this specific product: it's organic, and it tasted exactly how I expected. The 80 tea bags are divided into 4 foil sealed bags to preserve freshness. So, full stars from me.--------After reading alarming reports of how much Roundup is found in non organic oat products, I realized how important it is to make sure the tea you get is also organic... Otherwise you could be drinking tea leaves soaked in dangerous pesticides. So, huge win for this tea being organic.I've been a long time fan of rooibos, but I usually buy flavored varieties from other tea brands (Zhena's Firelight Chai made with rooibos is hands down my all time favorite!). I decided to try some plain rooibos, and so far I haven't been disappointed. I can't drink green tea in the evenings because the caffeine keeps me up, and I dislike the grassy strong flavors of some other herbal teas.If you've never tried rooibos and you're used to stronger flavors, this might not be the type of tea for you. Rooibos is by nature not very strong.. It has a sweet aroma with a very subtle nutty, slightly sweet flavor. It's literally impossible to over-steep rooibos; whether you let it steep for five minutes or two hours, you never get a sharp flavor or bitter tannins. It's probably better for people who want to drink something hot, but don't want to drink straight-up hot water lol.As for special properties of rooibos being appetite suppressing and such, I've never drank tea expecting weight loss so I couldn't tell you if it works. But logically, if you fill your stomach with water you won't be as hungry.. Right? Lol.

Love the flavor of this tea but best of all is that there is NO CAFFEINE or TANNINS in Rooibos Tea.It has helped me cut back on my coffee. I now have 2 cups in the morning instead of 7-8 cups throughout the day. I also have more energy since there is no more "crashing into fatigue" between cups and needing more caffeine (vicious cycle). And to top it off, it's much less expensive than what I was spending on coffee.

My wife is a daily rooibos tea drinker. We went with this product on a subscription basis, when our previous brand stopped supplying on Amazon. This one we find has a rich, fresh flavor and is superior to the one we were using. The only issue is that, with only 80 teabags, we have to order every 3 weeks instead of monthly.ALSO, AMAZON SHOULD CHANGE THEIR DESCRIPTION IN THE HEADER FOR THIS PRODUCT! IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTLHING TO DO WITH DANDELION ROOT TEA other than also being caffeine free.
