Delightful!
This is a delightful book for those who would like to try game meats and other Native foods, but with a modern twist. Not only do the recipes seem fairly straight forward but they incorporate fresh and available (there are many butchers that carry game meats) ingredients. Some of the more interesting recipes include: Buffalo & Vegetables braised in Dark Ale, a version of Bannnock that is fried as well as baked, Beet Root Gravalx, Moose Cannelloni, Wild Rice Casserole, and Wilted Stinging Nettles to name a few.

Great Starter Book!
While not exactly historically correct, this book has a lot of new ideas for the non-indigenous cook. It is a good starting place for First Nations cooking interest and I recommend it highly.
