I purchased these sandals after days of reading reviews and thinking about buying them. I decided to go for it and ordered them. They arrived Tuesday and I wore them around the house for about an hour to make sure they were comfortable enough. They were, so I was sure I was keeping them. The following day we needed to go shopping, so I put my new sandals on and off we went. After walking through Aldi, Walmart and Lowes....which under normal circumstances, my other sandals would really be bothering my feet...these Plaka sandals were so comfortable, I forgot I was even wearing shoes! This has never happened with any sandals I've ever owned. I'll definitely be buying another pair in a different color. I have a thin foot, so they fit me like a dream. But the straps might be tight on a different type of foot. Doesn't hurt to try them out though.

This sandal is cute & comfy. I walked over 2 miles in them in a mountain town. I would not recommend doing that as my feet slipped on the shoe base a bit but on flat surfaces they are perfectly fine. They are flat soled so no arch support but I don’t need this. The dye on the soles transferred to my feet and gave me black heels-I do put lotion on my dry heels so I’m sure that promoted the dye transfer. I wear a 10 in some dress shoes but definitely needed the 11 in these and they were not at all big/loose on me so I’d say these run small. I did see a similar sandal (same straps on top) on Amazon after I bought these and they look to have a more supportive/substantial sole to them-probably wouldn’t have the dye transfer problem with those.

First, I want to say, I absolutely recommend this shoe brand. I purchased my first pair of plakas last summer in a different shoe style, more like an actual flip flip that goes between your toes. I love them so much so I decided to try this particular style in a nice neutral brown for vacation. Received the cute little carry bag with the proper color straps on it but the shoes inside were burgundy. They do not look worn, however all of the tags were removed from the shoes. They were probably purchased and returned and a quality check was never performed on the return. I'm also unsure of the bottoms on the shoes that came, my other pair actually have p's and say plaka on the bottom this just has a reoccurring letter r.I will end up reordering in hopes to get the proper color at some point, unfortunately they will not arrive before I leave for vacation.

This is my third pair of Plaka sandals. I love them!! They are a little stiff and tight when you first get them, but then they form to your foot and become very comfortable. For me, it only took wearing them once to get to this point. They can be a little difficult to put on - getting all the strings in the right place, but once they are on, they stay on. Putting them on also gets easier as you go. I get compliments every time I wear them.

These sandals are nice. A little loose, so not for narrow feet. I expected more of a mauve color but they are exact tan. Came with in a little woven drawstring bag and with a cute little toe ring. May not buy again for me but I’d recommend to others with average feet.

Very nice, well made, does run narrow as seller states otherwise true to size. Very pretty.

First: These are NOT for people who need arch support because frankly, they have none. I don’t mind shoes that doesn’t have arch support but that’s just me. After reading reviews both positive and negative, I have to say I must’ve lucked out and got a good pair. I was worried after reading multiple reviews that said they ran small even with narrow feet. A lot of people said they were so tight they couldn’t get them on their feet. Luckily, mine fit perfectly. I’ve worn them around the house for a few minutes and so far they seem comfortable but I’ve been wrong before. Shoes felt comfortable just wearing them a few minutes but the longer I wore them I got blisters. Lol so we’ll see how long these will remain comfy. I will update my review if i end up hating them once I wear them more.
