Reasonably priced stiool
The stools were reasonably priced and were easy to assemble. Be careful when you put the seat on to the base. There was a big globe of oily grease that came out when screwing the two together. Be sure to assemble on cardboard so it doesnโt get on the carpet or you. We used some of the shipping plastic to wipe it off and redistribute to the post. I am not sure how long they will last for everyday use by a tall family (5โ8โ to 6โ10โ). The main rod seems wobbly for the larger people (200 lbs plus) in our family. The color of the wood is pretty. The base is small, so it tucks nicely under the tall counter. The small backs are nice, but we are still not sure if it looks right. Overall, we recommend the stools. They were delivered quickly and are useful. As for longevity, give us a year and we will let you know.

FUNCTIONAL BUT NOT WINNING ANY PRIZES
We're keeping them, but...The unsteadiness which reviewers refer to is real. Although it is quite safe and solid when assembled, the large pivot screw connection the seat to the base is simply not a tight fit. This allows a very slight rock, causing the seat to feel unsteady. The seat is flat which is a minor discomfort; usually wooden seats are molded slightly to conform to a person's bottom. The material is nicely finished however, and they're on the small side, so they fit neatly under our counter.

Easy assemble and good quality so far
Came and looks as advertised. Easy assembly which takes about 20 mins. Having an Allen wrench bit with screwdriver socket tool facilitates assembly. Seats move freely and have a bit of play when seated but otherwise are secure

NIce but smaller than expected
The stool was very easy to assemble. Looks great. As I put it together it reminded me of IKEA furniture I had put together in my first apartemnts but it looks nice once it assembled. It is smaller than anticipated. It is fine if you are a smaller person but the seat is 15 inches at the widest in the front and 14 inches deep. Which is fine for my wife and daughters. I am 6'1 195 and it is a bit small.

Solid and attractive
These are sturdy, look great, and fit perfectly at my counter. They come disassembled, IKEA-style, and are not terribly difficult to put together, although more complete directions would be a plus. But BE AWARE that the shaft holding the seat up comes pre-greased -- and very heavily greased. Once you screw it into the base, a large glob of lubricating grease will form at the tip, so have something absorbent ready to remove it, and watch out not to get it on clothes, carpet, etc. PRO TIP: assemble the base loosely, and do not tighten all the screws, especially those for the supporting ring, until everything is aligned. Then go ahead and tighten; if you tighten things up sooner, it will not fit together.

Just 'meh'
Two points to make here. First, the company is excellent and provided great customer support after receiving a defective part required for stool assembly. It took almost two weeks for the part to arrive but this was expected. Second, the stool is just 'meh' and more 'meh'. The stool overall feels sturdy, but asking over $100 dollars for a chair made of bonded saw dust is difficult to justify. Even the seat back, made of a thin strip of 'real' wood, does not look or feel like any real wood I've ever encountered. If you happen to be one of the unfortunate people that receives a defective assembly out of the box - You are going to be even more disappointed when you are sitting there on some saw dust and notice a $100 bill missing from your back pocket.

Beautiful but fragile
The chair is absolutely beautiful! However, the only thing that holds the seat up is the big bolt that adjusts the height. So when you sit on it it feels very unstable. My husband is 170lbs and you could Visibly see the bolt move when he sat on it. Makes it very scary to sit on!
