I ordered the The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 0.5% Body Serum. I've been using this on my acne-prone booty. I was surprised at how thin this "serum" is - when I read serum, I think thick and viscous but this is not thick at all and just a liquid. With how thin it is, I've found that applying this with a cotton round or reusable cotton round is the way to go.I thoroughly saturate a round with the serum and rub it on the target areas. I haven't had any negative skin reactions and this hasn't discolored any of my clothes (which I know can happen with some skin care.)Overall, I'm satisfied. For the price ($14.99) this feels like a good value for an 8 oz bottle.

Started using this for a few days now on my back and my skin seems to respond well with it.I haven't experienced any skin irritations or rashes so far. No redness from the last 3 days. It's thin and layers on okayI use a cotton pad to apply it.Some parts of my back are hard to reach and unfortunately that's a personal problem of my own reach.It is unscented.I don't know if it's as effective as it's claimed, it if it shows signs of positive acne reduction in a few weeks, I'll definitely get this again.

This salicylic acid serum for the body is amazing! I have used it to cleanse my scalp and for my upper body, and have noticed an immediate improvement in my skin quality. This serum is very effective! The bottle is a nice large size, there is lots to use. I like that it is unscented, which is good for sensitive skin, and the applicator tip makes this easy to apply. I will definitely be repurchasing!

It helps my KP on my arms and legs a but but not fully. Beware of open cuts or wounds, this thing burns! I use it after a shower and it soaks in well very fast! I always love The Ordinary’s products.

This body serum from The Ordinary is quite gentle and hydrating on my body and layers well with my body lotion. It's quite powerful and I found it was effective as it changed my skin texture from dry and red with lots of splotchy rough areas so very soft without a red mark in sight. It pairs well with most body lotions and I find it isn't sticky and the scent isn't too much. Drydown time was around ten minutes so keep that in mind before adding lotion. As always, wear sunscreen in the day as your last step unless you want crispy skin. Overall, I recommend this and would likely reorder as it is a good quality serum and a good value.

This review is for the ordinary body care salicylic acid .5% body serum, that is formulated for acne prone skin. It comes in a plastic bottle that is 8 oz. It has a lid that has a dispenser on top, which makes it easy to apply anywhere that you need to on your body where it is acne prone. I cannot smell any fragrances or sense and the solution is clear. I'm not seeing any dyes that were added. The instructions say to try it on a small area of your body for 3 days in a row to watch for any kind of reaction. After the three days, it says to start slow, adding just one layer on once a day and then working your way up to 3 tapplications a day. I found that if I start slow and work my way up, I have less skin reactions. I have had a lot of luck with the effectiveness of salicylic acid on my acne prone skin. However, it does tend to dry out the skin. And I waiver between using lotion to moisturize the skin, but I'm also scared. It will create more irritation and more clogged pores. So the key for me is using just the right amount to help treat the acne and not pushing it to the highest therapeutic dose. Plus if you use it less often I will save you money in the long run because you will not be going through the product as fast a little bit goes a long way and taking it easy have been the keys that are working!

I respond well to salicylic acid and this allows me to apply it more broadly. The serum is basically like water. It absorbs quickly. I have no irritation or dryness using this every day.I apply at night followed by a moisturizing lotion. I suppose it could be mixed in with a lotion if someone wanted, but I apply it directly.At first, I tried to dole out a small amount in my hand but it would drip down the side. I found the best was is just to turn it over and squeeze a small amount quickly and then turn it back upright -- don't be timid doling it out.I love The Ordinary products for their straightforward ingredients and no fragrance, which is important to me.
