Some surgery and then illness resulted in my ignoring my 5.7L Dodge Challenger R/T for quite a long time. When those passed, I was excited about getting back behind the wheel and taking that 6 speed manual transmission through all the paces. Well, the battery wasn't in the mood to cooperate. Dead as a doornail. Not even interior lights or dings when opening the door. I went back inside and started searching considering solutions. No one to get a jump from, and thought I'd look for one of those jump starters for next time. Tons to choose from but chose this one. I was a bit skeptical but the reviews were genuinely very good. It also has a powerful flashlight and air compressor to inflate tires. But those were secondary. It came in and I charged it to 100% with the USB-A to USB-c cable it came with. When I received it, it was at about 80%, and it only took a short while to get to full charge. Took it outside, pulled down the back seat and crawled through the truck to open the trunk latch (electric so needs power to open, but the pull handle inside got it open), followed the instructions, pressed the start button and ... nada. No matter what I did no joy. Went back inside and tried to figure out what to do. Finally, I emailed tech support. The response was quick and solved my issue. when a battery is really dead, you apparently must carry out the procedure in a specific way that disables the inherent protections in the device. Now, needless to say I was a bit concerned about that description: disabling safety protections. I had been getting a Troubleshooting Code of "5": "Short-circuit protection - Don't connect the clips together or to the same metal." But I followed the instructions given by the manufacturer/seller (I do not recommend veering from the instructions that come with the device without contacting and following specific instructions from them). In my case I was advised:"The short circuit protection of the product can be bypassed in the following way.Connect the clip to the starting power supply → connect the red clip to the positive pole of the car battery → press and hold the BOOST button for 3 seconds to enter the starting mode → connect the black clip to the negative pole of the car battery → enter the vehicle for ignition operation."Very carefully did so, keeping well out of the way of the battery and the device just in case. When I got into the car to try and start it, this time the car lights flickered and came on. Pushed in the clutch, pressed the Start button, and it started right up! Carefully disconnected the wires and drove the car for about an hour. Upon my return, turned it off. Waited a few minutes and tried again. It started right up. The jump starter had only dropped to 78%. I am very pleased with this device. Accomplished just what I needed with a short learning curve. Think the cables could be a bit longer but they are functional. Easily worth the price!

I initially bought this because I was having a problem with the battery on one of my vehicles. I love the features that it has! You can use the USB ports on it to charge your phone. Many uses if don’t have any power in your Truck, car, or whatever method of transportation you’re using.I also love the fact that I can air my tires up with it. I didn’t even know that it had that feature. I was very happy with that. I keep one in my car and in my truck and I keep it with me at all times whenever I’m on the road. it works really good. I’ve had to use it a few times.I would highly recommend this to anyone, but if you’re a single woman like I am, you definitely need this in your vehicle!

my car has some undetermined electrical drainage issue and it is unpredictable as to whether it will start at any given time. i have brought it in for diagnosis and repair several times. usually they just replace the battery, which doesn't solve the problem. they even replaced the electrical harness - better but still not fully solved. so my choices have been to jump the battery , call roadside assistance to jump it, or buy a new car. i have looked for new cars but found nothing i like so far. so i finally bought this charger. i have used it multiple times, including in below zero winter weather. it starts my battery within seconds every time. i keep it in my car and make sure it is fully charged before going on any long road trip. it has saved me a lot of time and frustration. and i think it is good value.

This unit is very compact and useful. I had another unit that was the size of a full size battery, and as heavy. It was good enough while everything worked on it but the compressor quit working. The compressor would run, but would not build up any air pressure. So I bought this unit, which is much smaller, lighter, and easier to handle and travel with than my old bigger unit. I would recommend this unit to anyone who may be looking for something in this category. I think I just might buy another one to keep in my motorcycle, so I will not have to change it back and forth. 5 STARS !

I don't review products often but this thing deserves some serious recognition. I purchased it for my wife when she nuked her car's battery by cleaning it for several hours with the doors open and lights on. This was one of my area's few jump packs with prime same-day shipping. The price is not bad compared to similar products. The jump pack worked exactly as described and the instructions were very easy to understand. My wife has absolutely no experience with jump-starting cars and was able to get her vehicle back up. Sadly the battery was ruined and we could not get to the store for a few days for a replacement. No problem! The jump pack was used a dozen times and worked like a charm every time. Each jump took about 25% of the pack's power supply. This was plenty of juice to get the vehicle to and from work, and even an extra errand on the way home on one charge. Once the battery was replaced I figured this bad boy would collect dust in the trunk for a while. I was wrong. A few days later the wife came home telling me about a low tire pressure warning, sure enough, she had run over a nail. I used the jump packs tire inflator function and its digital gauge told me exactly what the PSI was currently at, I set it where I wanted it and clicked go. Done. Both functions, and the light I've accidentally turned on a few times, work flawlessly. This thing has already paid for itself and I am tempted to purchase one for our other two vehicles. It will get you out of many roadside or home emergencies. Based on its performance I am eager to take it camping or something to see how well it keeps cell phones and mini fans charged.
