Excellent and easy to setup

Super product. Set up with my 10 year old dennon hifi to my Sony wh-720n wireless headphones. No problem at all easy to setup everything was working with in minutes and I can now listen to my music in any room in my house. Tried the ones that go to your headphones out port and none have worked well. So all in all very happy. Thinking of getting one for my TV in the bedroom. 5 star product.

Great device for connecting old gear to modern bluetooth amps, soundbars etc in HiFi quality

The media could not be loaded. The phono cable is a bit thin and of not great quality, I have this connected to my 90s cassette deck output via phono then connected via aux adaptor which you get in the pack to the bluetooth unit. Could have done with a longer power cable as the one included is very short. You need a USB plug too which is not included in the pack. You could just plug it into any powered USB of course as well instead of a plug. Very easy setup worked first time for me, just clicked on the button and it found my soundbar straight away as well as my TV. I picked the soundbar to output too. Sound quality is very good though it does have Aptx technology and the lasted bluetooth version so that does help. Good value device if you want to connect some old devices to modern Bluetooth. Just needs some higher quality cables but that's not a problem you can always buy them to use instead of the one you get. But the sound is pretty good even with low quality cables.

Does the job quite well!

Works a treat!

Simple to set up and works a treat both in TX and RX modes. For those with an older amplifier who want to use this for wireless headphones use the "record out" phono output on the back of your amp.For the money this is a great addition to your set up.

Decent unit worth it's price

TLDR: 3/5 stars given due to missing cables, but 5/5 for the product itself.I bought the "SOOMFON Bluetooth 5.2 Transmitter Receiver" via the Amazon Warehouse (basically a returned opened item) for about ÂŁ11 cheaper than the unopened price of ÂŁ38After opening the box, I found the optical cable and the 3.5mm cable were not in the box.So I presume the original person returning the item just needed the cables and wanted a full refund afterwards...Fortunately, I have my own cables to use instead, but if I had not, then I'd have to return the product. So moving on, I could not pair any of my headphones to begin with... until I remembered it's second hand, so it wouldn't go into auto pair mode out of the box.The top tip here is to Double Tap the power button to force it to search for headphones in pairing mode. Yes, it's in the manual and the writing is quite small. But worth noting if anyone is reading this review and maybe overlooked it. (Also tap the power button 6 times if you want to factory reset the whole thing). With my in-ear pods connected (A cheapish ÂŁ30 pair of earbuds connected as SBC), the latency is around 200-250ms (checked via multiple YouTube Bluetooth latency test videos)This is fine for me as I expected this in advance from a previous Soomfon purchase (different model) for a family member. The transmitters' primary use case is to connect to an older (non-smart TV) whilst I hit the treadmill in my conservatory late at night. As to not annoy the neighbours! The TX sound quality is decent to my ears, I wasn't hearing any "pips" when the input was not receiving any sounds (this was indeed noticeable on a different model I purchased as mentioned earlier)Bluetooth Range on the transmit is also great, for me it covers the whole house as well as the front and back gardens. (Mixture of Plasterboard and brick walls).Ease of use is fairly easy when you finally understand how to use it.Maintaining connection appears to be robust also, I've been using it for a few hours after setting it up and I have nothing bad to say.I don't have any aptx compatible headphones to test low latency. I did try a pair of Soundcore Anker Liberty Air 2 Pro earbuds, but they use LDAC which had the same 200-250ms latency. Your mileage may vary.I have not used the Receiver function as I have no need for it, but I'm sure its fine.I'd give it 5 stars if I had not been short changed on the contents missing from the box.Final take away - If you are looking for a decent transmitter and understand it will have a noticeable lip-syncing issue with non-low latency headsets/in-ear pods and you are buying brand new, then I recommend it.

Everything Is Now Bluetooth!

This review is for a Bluetooth 5.2 Transmitter/Receiver. It arrived boxed, including four cables: Power cable, optical SPDIF cable, 3.5 to 3.5 jack audio cable, and a 3.5 to RCA converter cable. The unit has a really nice aesthetic. It is a darker silvery colour but it looks really good. The knob on the other hand feels cheap and like it could easily break. There are two push buttons. It has 3.5 jack and SPDIF input and output sockets, as well as a USB C power socket. This lets you use it either to receive Bluetooth signals so you can connect an audio device to wired speakers/headphones for example. Or, you can plug an audio source directly in to it, then pair your wireless headphones or speakers. You can even set it to bypass mode so you can use this as a digital to analogue, or analogue to digital converter. You cannot transmit and receive similtaneously. This is understandable though. This also means you can't use headsets with microphone and headphones together. You can only use the headphones. You will need to read the manual to get the hang of this device. The interface isn't perfect, and the knob and buttons at times I found to be unresponsive. It has a really good range, I am picking up more devices from the neighbours than I do on my laptop. All in all, this is a good device for audio Bluetooth connectivity options. I especially welcome the addition of digital inputs and outputs, these are not often found on equipment. You will need to read the manual to undestand how to use it properly, but thankfully it also does include a quick-start guide for basic connectivity functions. I think the price is a touch high for the quality of the unit. But it does a good job.
