This is a very nice backpack/laptop carrier. From the moment I unwrapped it I was impressed by the quality that it has in appearance and with the numerous compartments. This is an ideal backpack for someone that may have to go into the office periodically and needs to bring their laptop with them. It has two main compartments. The one toward the back is for the laptop (I was able to stash my 16" LG Gram in there comfortably) and the padding between the laptop and the back of the backpack is very good so no worries there. Once you insert the laptop, there is a strap with Velcro that helps secure it in that space. That takes care of 1/2 of the second main compartment. The remaining space in this compartment could be used to carry notebooks, papers and the like. The second main compartment has a pocketed area splitting it also into 2 sections. The front part of the pocketed area offers 2 smaller mesh pockets as well and opposite that section there is another zippered internal pocket section with slots for writing instrument storage on its front. I mean, there are so many places to store stuff in this thing that there could be a time when you might forget where you actually stashed something and may get angry that there are so many places to look in order to find it. In addition to all that, on each side of the backpack there are external pockets for even more stuff. This is definitely a keeper for me.

This backpack holds soo much stuff with the added benefit of being water resistant and hidden pockets along the back and strap it is perfect for travel and business use.The quality of htis backpack hits you in the face when you open up your Amazon package there is no question that this a hight quality item. It is put together well and has a strong feel to it. The straps are breathable and supportive and do not dig into my shoulders, I love that there is a luggage strap too on the back for the long layover at the airport. The laptop holder is nice and holds your lapto upright for easy access it does not sag like some of my previous backpacks have done and there are many compartments for cards, pens, stylus etc as well as your cords. This is reaplacing my husbands company business back pack because though the company one is nice he thinks this one is soo much better especially while traveling to Seattle with much more space and organization.

Back in the middle of last century, a businessperson used a nice looking briefcase. Today, you need a backpack or messenger bag. This backpack will meet your day to day requirements for work or maybe even school. It could also double as a day-bag when traveling. There are plenty of pockets: two main pockets with their own pockets, slots and pouches, a pocket on the front, two pockets on the sides, a pocket on the shoulder strap, a pocket on the back. Also a loop/hook for your sunglasses(!?)The side pockets work for a narrow water bottle or a fold up umbrella. I struggled to get my coffee mug in, so it was possible, but difficult. Inside, there's a spot for your laptop and a tablet, plus plenty of room for a change of clothes and other items.Material:- The outside is "high-density 900 coated Oxford material" I don't know what that is but it feels like a smooth manmade leather. The zippers are all well made and attractive. Good size and quality zipper pulls. Good padding on the straps and on the back of the bag. Waterproof!!- The inside is a silver, slippery polyester material, which based on past experience tends to tear at the seams after longtime hard use. I hesitatingly removed one star for this material.If you want to use this as a carry-on personal item, it should fit current dimensions on most airlines; however, it is smaller than the one I use currently. You'll note from the side view (photo #5) that the backpack is narrower at the top than at the bottom. The luggage strap - the strap to side over your roller suitcase handle -- is woven canvas, not elastic. Yay! Once it's on, it's on and not tipping over. This strap is about 2 inches high: I prefer a wider strap, but this is acceptable if your backpack is not top-heavy.Credit card pocket in the shoulder strap: not sure if I'll use that, but a handy flat pocket.Flat pocket on the back of the backpack: too small for my iPad, but could be useful for important travel papers or passport, since it's either against your suitcase handle (and never left unattended) or it's on your back -- so difficult for anyone else to access that pocket.

I could(and probably should) carry a pen and pad of paper which I could easily add. There are three slots for pens and I only use two for the stylus's...styli? flock of stylins? magic computer pens. My favorite part of this bag is how they have a specific place for a tablet and the strap covers both the laptop and tablet to help keep them from falling out. I still have tons of space. There's a front pouch that goes the length of the backpack, there's a small 'hidden' pocket on the back where the straps are, there are side pockets all of which zip up fully. The back part has a nice cushion on it and the straps are quite comfortable. The fabric of the bag feels nice, like the water resistant vinyl but nice and thick with a slight texture to it. Only possible downside is the pouch for the tablet and laptop isn't padded. It all has the same interior thin vinyl type fabric.
