Mira Showers Beat Shower Slide Bar White/Chrome 2.1703.017

This is very well made with an excellent chrome finish. Easy to fit and very pleased with the result.

Quite expensive for what it is but it freshened up the shower nicely. The old shower rail chrome had pitted badly on the old one with the usual yellowing plastic fittings. This has done a nice job of replacing the old unit.A feature that is useful is the adjustment available on the mount centres. No need to drill the tiles again to make fresh holes. Just adjust the rail mounts to fit the existing holes.Very easy to install with easy to follow instructions.

As it replaced the exact same style as to what had been there no drilling was involved. My old one was 5 yrs old and the ratchet had gone so the shower head kept falling down. However at nearly £40 I thought it was extremely expensive considering riser rails can be bought for around £10 upwards.

After stomping round in a grump all morning because I tried to install this and the shower head didn’t quite fit, properly hacking me off, I had this moment of clarity - Perhaps I had been trying to fit the clamp upside down 🤦🏻‍♀️ And I was right, the shower head holder bit looks identical both ways up but one side is slightly tapered. So after all that it was fine! Fit our Mira Escape shower perfectly. It’s a good quality replacement pole, better than the original and I just popped it onto the old fittings. The only thing I would say is the screws to tighten the brackets onto the pole had very ‘open’ cross heads and it took ages to find a screwdriver that fit it.PS I’ve been asked to rate ‘sheerness’.... I don’t know what this is so gave it a 4 star 😂😂

Easy to install

Since it was a direct replacement for our previous Mira Shower Rail it was very easy to fit to the wall as even the old Mira Shower Rail wall connectors could be re-used and left in situ as they are not visible when this new rail is fitted.Pros:(1). It was a direct replacement for the older Mira Escape Plus Shower Rail.(2). It looks good in situ.Cons:(1). Even at £40 it is expensive for what it is.(2). Judging by the longevity of the previous one; these Mira Shower Rails do not last very long before the ratchet fails and/or the clamps crack so they are built to fail.Perhaps, one additional adjustable height/angle shower head holder and two additional outer pole clamps should be supplied inside the kit to mitagate against the poor value for money/poor build quality since these plastic parts do not last anywhere near as long as expected.

Easy and quick to fit. Good quality item

Easy to install and due to the parts being movable to fit to most existing holes etc. didn't have to do anything other than unscrew 2 screws and pull the old one off and then install this one with 2 screws and put the caps on - really easy. Looks modern and clean
