Definitely can work with infant
I know there have been reviews saying it doesn’t work well with an infant but we’ve been using it 24/7 while our five month old has been having breathing problems and it’s works really well. Just needs to be thoroughly secured. I suggest putting child in foot onesie with double zipper to help. Battery life is meh but like I said we’ve used it constantly. Big helpful plus is the digital reports you can send to your doctor if needed.
