Bellroy Leather Case for Pixel 9 Pro XL – (Leather Google Phone Case) - Black

This is an awesome leather case. I previously bought one with my Pixel 7, and when I recently upgraded to a Pixel 9 Pro, I started off with a different rubbery case that Google sold. I couldn't stand the feel of it-- there's no question that this real leather case has a feel to it that nothing else can touch. After using this case for years, I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I see complaints about the case getting scuffed and discoloring with use. I can't help but think that these reviewers don't have experience with how leather behaves as a material. It isn't plastic, it's not rubber; it is a natural material and will wear like one. Yes, it can scuff, and yes, it will show wear. And yes, it will develop a natural patina.Bottom line-- if it's important to you that 2 years from now, your case looks the same as when it was brand new, then you should not be buying a leather case. If you're looking for a quality leather case that will develop a patina, show wear with age and feel amazing in your hands, then this is the case for you.

I had high expectations for Bellroy's leather phone case, but unfortunately, it fell short. While the design is sleek and visually appealing, the leather started peeling off after just a few weeks of use. For a premium product, I expected much better durability. It's frustrating to invest in a case that looks great initially but quickly loses its quality. I can't recommend this case to anyone looking for long-term reliability.

This is my first Belroy case after years of Spigen. Spigen dropped the ball with the Pixel 9 cases, so I tried this. The fit is perfect all the way around. It's leather, and feels great. A bit slippery when you first get it, but after some use it's like my favorite leather jacket. The Magsafe ring is a huge plus, as it allows me to easily swap Popsockets onto it, and use it on a Magsafe charger. I can't say how well the drop protection is, as I have never dropped a phone, and don't plan on dropping this one.

All I can say the product is premium and good.My biggest complaint is the courier SF Express. TOOK THEM 2 DAYS TO DELIVER FROM LOCAL HUB TO MY HOUSE, MAYBE THEY ARE DELIVERING BY FOOT :(

Having used Bellroy leather cases for other phones, I've always enjoyed their look and feel. Previous cases had a slightly oiled texture which minimized staining and improved grip. This case has a very dry texture which is more likely to scuff and seems less stain resistant. It's not a big deal on the black case, but it'd wear heavily on lighter colors.PROS:+Despite feeling bulkier than previous models, it's still one of the thinner and lighter cases available+Decent lip protection helps with laying the phone face down+Metal buttons are clicky and responsive+Large cutouts, no issues with use of portsCONS:-Not the same feel or quality as previous cases. Needs to be lightly oiled or use a better grain of leather.-Case feels bulkier than previous models, though some of that is due to the squared off edges-The price is excessiveLeather cases are generally amazing, but this one falls short. Hopefully they take feedback seriously and either revise this case and/or fix it for future products.

This is the nicest case I've used so far. The leather feels great in the hand and wears nicely as it is used. The metal buttons feel excellent and still look nice after months of use.

This case is overall a good high quality case, though it does have a few drawbacks that might dissuade some people.First of all, the cutouts on the bottom of the case are a little sharp and will dig into your finger if you use your pinky as a shelf for the phone. I know its just punched out leather but it would have been nice for them to soften the edge a bit there.Secondly, the buttons are a bit harder to press, from what I can tell, rather than having the case buttons sit on a more flexible fabric section like Apple used to do, you're just pushing through a maybe thiner piece of leather so its a little harder to click the buttons than I'd like.And finally, the color options for the Pro XL are boring, and this one might as well be Millennial gray. If that's your thing, you'll love it, but its a crying shame that the brighter colors from the smaller phone didn't make their way to the larger phone.Other than those three things, the leather feels good, the magnets are strong enough without being overly strong on Magsafe and Anker chargers, and while it does add weight and does feel a little bulky, its still usable and doesn't cause much if any fatigue that the phone itself doesn't already cause.

Feels great in the hand, and no problems whatsoever with fit. Magsafe strength is just right for all my accessories. Port opening at the bottom may be a slight annoyance if you rest it on your finger while holding, as the edges aren't rounded there (I'm fine with it).
