50 Three-Chord Christmas Songs for Guitar, Banjo & Uke (Mel Bay Presents)

Our family had a great time Christmas Eve playing carols from the book on my son's classroom's ukeleles. Only one of us had every played uke before, and I imagine we sounded horrible, but it was sure fun. Three chords was definitely our limit, so the boo was a lifesaver. I will say that there were a number of very obscure carols, but there were enough regulars to keep us occupied.

This is a very easy music book for a beginner, and a lot of fun for a more accomplished player. Most of the songs are familiar to me. Music staff with notes are with each song, so you don't have to depend on just the chords. I recommend it for anyone who wants to be able to play Christmas music quickly and comfortably.

Nice selections and chord options.

It gets confusing when chords are named and then shown differently in other books. However the three chord songs are terrific and easy to play.

It's just three chords, but I only recognized about three of the songs in the book. I would rather have a book that was slightly more complex, but had more recognizable songs in it.

Some of the songs change chords very frequently, so it can be a tiny bit more challenging than you first may think! Arrived on time and in good condition.

very good mel bay production.most songs are easy to play. either reading the notes or playing the cords.i would recomend this to beginners aas well as acomplished players

Great for beginning guitarists that don't know many chords. Great to use it with beginning students for easy chording and also for more advanced students for sight reading melodies of uncommon Christmas songs. I recommend using a capo on some songs because the key is too high or too low to sing in some tunes.

This was bought as a present to go with a banjo so hope it all goes down well. I based my buy on reviews I'd read about the book

Songs you can build on as your skill improves. All the basics are here whether guitar, banjo or uke. Quite a few American tunes in here, so watch out!
