Pack of 2 Eco-Friendly Laundry Washing Balls.
Positives:Eco-friendly - no detergent or rinsing required.Hyper-allergenic - good for sensitive skin.Compatible with any washing machine.Balls made of Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE).Very simple to use.Reasonably priced.Negatives:-Possibly not suitable for use with “socks only” washes.Observations:-Each Washing Ball came in its own attractively overprinted cardboard box, inside which it was packed in a clear plastic bag, and the 2 boxes were bound together with clear tape to form the Pack of 2.Conclusion:-I do fortnightly laundry washing sessions, and tried these Washing Balls with different items over a period of time. Also, when using a program with options, I always use my washing machine’s eco-settings, at 30°C + longer duration, and continued to do so when using the Washing Balls. The results were more or less on a par with those when using my customary washing powder, which is quite impressive. However, I did notice a hole in a couple of the socks, albeit that might have been due to normal wear and tear, but it did a raise a question mark, and, just to be on the safe side, I will not use the Washing Balls for sock washes in future.

Eco Friendly Wash Ball & Detergent Alternative - 2 pack
The media could not be loaded. The 2pcs Laundry Ball came individually nicely packed in cardboard boxes. These are pretty decent size laundry balls. They have ceramic beads inside them. All you need to do is throw one in the washing machine without detergent and it should work if you pre treat stains. For larger loads use both balls together. They supposedly emit red rays which helps in washing clothes. Reading online about these kinds of balls I am a bit sceptical about using them as it will create a lot of damage if they were to break in between a wash cycle. Will probably try them inside a wash bag first. I am not too sure about using these regularly. I would prefer to use environment friendly detergents instead.

Pretty good
They don't really have a scent but they make my clothes smell clean for the most part. They're decent in removing stains and I haven't yet had it break on me, but it is quite a big concern. Would definitely use a laundry mesh bag to put them in.

Soft clothes, saves on detergent
I have often wondered if these laundry balls were effective, so was glad to give them a try over several days of washing different loads of various fabrics. I first tried one ball on very lightly soiled t shirts, without any detergent, and found that they came out clean and soft. Also there is no scent, which is fine, as I'm not a fan of the detergent perfumes. Underwear, socks, also good. Grubby denim jeans came out clean, and slightly softened. All washed on 40 degrees C, no detergent. Duvet covers and sheets also were perfectly clean, I used two balls for the bedding. Towels also came out clean and fluffy. All of these without washing powder, so a huge saving there, I must say I wasn't expecting everything to be so clean. The only items that were still stained were tea towels, so next time I will use powder in the wash, though halve the quantity to see what happens.I did find a small piece of the ceramic inner balls in my clothes one time, so this might be a concern? So I will be making a great saving on detergent, and also doing a small bit to help the planet, so very happy with these laundry balls, am definitely a convert.

not sure about this one
I ordered these laundry balls as I would love to be able to wash clothes with less detergent. I tried a wash with some jeans and, to be honest, felt the results were exactly what I would have expected had I done a wash without the addition of the ball or any detergent at all.I then did another wash, and began to wonder about the advisability of using this type of ball in the machine and so went off and did some research online. I found evidence that the balls can rarely come apart and the ceramic beads released into the machine causing potential problems. This worried me sufficiently that I stopped the machine to check the ball was indeed still intact, which to be fair it was, and finished the wash without it.I am not sure I will use it again, the risks outweight the potential benefits. I urge anyone reading this to do some research before using. It could be a wonderful thing, we all want to do our bit to save the planet. It could also cause potential problems for your washing machine if the ball breaks in two and spills the ceramic beads. It is worth considering. One thing I read is people put them into laundry bags to protect against accidental spillage, I can't help feeling though this could reduce the "efficiency" of the balls.Edited to say I have examined the clothes cleaned in the machine with the wash ball and noticed several garments with cotton threads pulled and broken on the jeans. These were not like this before the wash so I am guessing the action of the ball in the machine can damage clothing as it does bash about the machine in use. A minor point is if your machine is not very full it does make quite a noise but that is secondary if it works and I am not convinced about this.

An alternative
First time using this type of laundry ball for a washing machine having used a dryer ball in a tumble. The pack contained 2 laundry balls, these are small and appeared to be made of good quality plastic. No smell came out of these. When used on a load the clothes appeared clean but did not have a scent which takes a bit of getting used to. A good alternative to traditional liquid

I was definitely surprised at how well these worked
I was definitely surprised at how well these worked because it's somehow an idea I couldn't wrap my head around, that a laundry ball would act as a detergent alternative and amplify the effects of a fresh wash, but it far exceeded expectations.I wouldn't use it in every wash, but it certainly is great for washing things like towels and thicker items, and I've noticed they feel fluffier.
