Zatarain'sBlackened Seasoning, 3 oz (Pack of 2)

This stuff is great on salmon, flounder, catfish or any other fish you like to pan fry. It has a nice blend of spices without being over the top salty. Medium heat so it appeals to a wide range of eaters. If you don’t like a little heat, you shouldn’t be buying blackened seasoning.

Originally found it in Louisiana and had to have more!I literally use it on everything! Steak. Fish. Chicken. Soup. Baked potatoes. Veggies.It's not salty. Just full of flavors.

This is much better tasting than Ztaerain's other Blackened seasoning by the same name in the plastic bottles. As you can see in the side bybside picture on the paper plate, the seasoning in the cardboard can has smaller grains. It also has more cayenne pepper, some msg and itnhas much more flavor. This tastes the way you expect blackened fish, or shrimp to taste. It's a huge flavor bomb. I've been using it on chicken with Alfredo sauce for a delicious cajun pasta. The Blackened seasoning in the plastic can does not have msg and it is not as spicy. All of the other flavors are decreased and it doesn't make the flavor bomb you expect from blackening seasoning. This Zaterain's Blackened in the cardboard can is the flavor standard by which I measure other blackening seasonings and I have never found a better flavor than this one. I bought both to compare, but I will most likely only buy this one in the future. I haven't found a food, yet, where the plastic can beat the cardboard can. I don't worry about the msg in this seasoning. It is found naturally in many healthy foods, like mushrooms and tomatoes. If you are looking for a flavor bomb, this is the one.

I use this on meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables...even egg omelets.
