After 7 month use, there are already cracks and they are trapping small things in between. One of them is detached.For such a Brand claiming craft and quality, this is too flimsy. Not recommend.

This comb was a bit of a surprise in how very light and small it is. I was expecting a little more heft from the wood. The compact size appears intentional, since their description elsewhere says that it's sized for travel. But it's worth looking at the dimensions to realize how small it is.The comb comes very nicely packaged, including a drawstring bag sewn of printed and embroidered Chinese fabric to keep it stored in.The painted design is so perfect on one side of mine (the more detailed side) that it looks more like a decal than a painting. Because of this, I compared the images on mine to the ones here. They're different enough to see that my comb is uniquely done. And the simple leaf design on the other side is significantly different, containing only two leaves and unusually placed stems. The colors vary, and the butterfly and flower blossom look quite different on mine (especially the butterfly). On their site they say each one is hand painted and one of a kind.As for the important part (the combing!), it works well, but is best for combing small areas at a time. The combing area is only about 2.75" wide, not counting the outer large teeth. The teeth aren't fully even/uniform on mine in one spot, but this is mostly just noticeable by running my fingers along them. This doesn't impact the combing ability.The reason I docked a star on the comb is because the painting on one side of mine is a little unusual. I couldn't tell what the little leaf detail was supposed to be until I looked online and saw the one here. The other aspects of it that weren't ideal for me (small size and light weight) are things that are just aspects of the comb. The painting itself is beautiful and so well done it looks like a decal, but the one side is just painted a bit oddly. Other than that, it's a beautiful and lovely comb that feels like heirloom quality.

Received today and not open it, you can see the defective part on my picture. The tooth is not even. Definitely return.

At first, I wasn't sure why this was priced so high, because while it looks nice, it's just a comb. After finding out more information about it, I learned that this comb is hand carved and hand painted. Anything crafted by hand is valued more than machine-made items. It looks like a nice comb and combs hair well, but it doesn't comb spectacularly better than other combs. However, I have to say that this would make an excellent gift item. The box is perfect as a gift box and the bag for the comb is exquisite. With all of these accessories combined with the comb, it makes sense why it is priced the way it is.

This is a nice comb but I'm not sure I'd pay $40 for it. It's small and light weight wooden. It's a nice gift item and comes in a box suitable for gifting.the comb appears to be hand painted or decals, it's hard to tell. Some of the designs are exactly like the ones in the listing but some look different. So not sure if they are decals or hand painted, but they are pretty.There are two stamps one in some sort of oriental writing that I'm not familiar with and then USA is stamped in another place so I'm unclear what that all means. The writing inside all appears to be from some sort of oriental type writing.Overall this is a pretty little comb, I just do not see the value so that is why I'm giving it 3 stars. If it was like $15 I'd probably give it closer to 5 stars.Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks
