AA++ A must have book when learning hvac

This is worth the money. If you are a beginner, a student, or even someone who’s already in the field, I recommend this book. It’s straightforward such as getting to the point and easy to grasp what you are reading. It’s a good book to grasp the basics of HVAC, so you can retain the knowledge. I graduated a trade school not too long ago and while reading this book, I wish I would have had this while in school. It would have been so helpful. So I highly recommend this if you’re a current HVAC student or considering to get into this career whether you go to school or train with a company. Great work by the author, Stanley Huber.

Too many acronyms. JUST SAY WHAT IT IS!!

I got this book to make sure I knew what the maintenance needs were for my home’s HVAC equipment. I have an old steam radiator system for part of it and hot water pump radiators for the second part. I liked this book most because it ended up teaching me about HVAC systems I had never heard of like before like geothermal heat exchangers. I also liked it because it shows fundamental principles like how to calculate/measure capacitance percent failure acceptance ranges. I would have though my measurements put me in the clear but the book shows you how to calculate necessary ranges of acceptable readouts.

Search for HVAC Bible and see how many HVAC Bible books there are on amazon, with random authors but all have very similar titles and descriptions. You won't find the actual authors online. I bought this book, and immediately thought it was formatted and written very strangely. Only now as I learned of the unbelievable amount of fake "how-to" books being written by AI programs did I realize this book was certainly one of them. Often they have BIBLE in the title. Even though some of the info may be correct, this book was certainly not authored by an HVAC contractor, and likely not proofread by one. In that case, I do not trust the information to be accurate.
