Yes, the silicone withstands the heat in the oven. You must let the clay cool completely, then you gently pull the silicone cup away and out of the clay cylinder.

Q: How do you cook the luminary? We lost the instructions.

Bake at 200, wrapped loosely in tin foil, for about 30 minutes. Ours were thicker so it took about 50 minutes to harden.
