Masterfully engineered coffee maker
This is such a perfectly designed coffee maker. I have been using it for the past two months. I simply can not find anything that I could say needs improvement! What I love the most about this wonderful machine is that you just fill the water tank and all you have to do is press the right cup size (6-24 oz) it automatically pumps the right amount of water. The rich setting produces a fantastic cup of coffee. Over the ice pumps just half amount of water and produces lattes that rival Starbucks. Perhaps the most ingenious feature is the ability to brew both pods and your favorite ground coffee. The basket can accommodate enough coffee for up to 24oz.Basically it’s also a 3 cup coffee maker. If you are in an office and don’t like to drink stale coffee from a carafe, this coffee maker is the one for you. Great functionality. Auto shut off. High quality materials.

So Good, I Bought Two – But Note the Frother Difference
I originally bought this coffee maker for home because I loved the iced brew feature - and I use it all the time. I liked it so much I purchased a second one for work. One odd thing: the first unit has a built-in frother on the side, but the second one does not. I didn’t return it since I rarely use the frother, but wanted others to be aware in case that feature matters to you.It has multiple cup size options, plus regular, bold, and iced brew selections, which makes it super versatile. One of my favorite features is the water reservoir - it pops in and out effortlessly and doesn’t have one of those annoying over-pour holes like other machines.Overall, this is a great machine for both home and work - reliable, easy to use, and perfect for people who like both pods and grounds.

Makes good, hot coffee. Much better product than my last two brands of coffee makers.
I've used a Keurig & a Cuisinart for years. Both were dependable, but the coffee they made (pods or grounds) was always just "ok", and never really hot enough. This Ninja makes a far richer & hotter cup, and is especially good with grounds, which is what I most often use. It comes out of the machine at around 195F, and is around 175F in your cup when finished. Just right for me.It doesn't have a selection for just 'hot water', but all you have to do is put the (empty) brew basket in and hit 'brew' (You can also make a decent cup of hot tea by placing a tea bag in the brew basket.)I use coffee and chicory, which is already stronger than 'regular' coffee. For my first 'test cup' I followed the recommended # of scoops (3), which is probably on point for regular coffee grounds like Folgers, MH, etc. My advice? Use only 1 good scoop with coffee and chicory! It's definitely all you need for a good, strong, cup - and that was using the 'classic' setting. The 'rich' setting was too strong with my coffee brand (Cafe du Monde), but that setting definitely works as advertised. With the other maker brands I had to fill the brew basket, and the coffee was never strong enough. Not so with this machine. I'll save $ by having to use about 2/3 less coffee per cup.I like having the convenience of being able to use pods, when I'm lazy or in a hurry, but I really wanted a machine that would make coffee from grounds that tasted like brewed coffee, and this Ninja does it. Not to mention the pods are so much more expensive.I have the model without the frother, so I can't comment about that feature. The appliance looks good, has a very slender footprint (long, but skinny) and it fits under my standard kitchen cabinets, even with the 'lid' fully open. I can even fill it using a pitcher without having to slide it out from under my cabinet, which is really nice. It's close, but it can easily be done.I've only had it a short time, so I can't speak to how well it'll hold up, if it'll start clogging, etc. But so far, it's the best coffee maker I've had of this type.It takes a bit longer to brew than my previous makers, but as a result the coffee tastes like real coffee. It's worth waiting an extra minute or so.

READ CAREFULLY!
***Update 4/20/2025- Machine still going and working properly. I use it 2-3 days a week (when coffee shop is closed)THIS IS NOT AN EXPRESSO MACHINE.What I've discovered:Coffee isn't as hot as I like it- Make sure to let the machine sit for a few mins before brewing or run a 6oz of water thru. if I don't want to wait, I just heat up my cream in the microwave. I brew ground coffee on rich setting at 14oz, and it is quick and does brew a nice cup (if using good coffee) the coffee itself makes a difference. It is easy to clean BUT you need to clean it every time IF you're using pods that contain milk. If you're just running regular coffee/pods, then I clean once a week.Water tank size- I'm the only one in the house that uses it, so it's fine. If you have more than 2 ppl using, then it might be too small, and you may need to refill often. I use tap water (well water with softener) and have not had an issue.Froth vs no froth- The universe was looking out for me. If I had the model with the froth wand I don't think I would use it.Do I recommend?-looking for a budget friendly single serve coffee maker then YES. I don't regret my purchase.-Looking for an expresso machine instead of going to coffee shop. NO keep shopping this is not for you.I deducted 1 star just because it's not as hot as I would like and you can't adjust the temp. but overall, it's a really good machine and I really love the storage it has!***THE END**I picked the stone-colored coffee maker, and it DOES NOT have a froth function like the other colors!I'm okay with it because it was not a selling point for me. They sent me the PB041 I thought I ordered the PB051. SO again, just pay attention before you check out!On the other hand, this thing is beautiful! Has storage for all of its components! I will update my review once I use it... I literally just unboxed it!::Same day update!:: I'm absolutely in love with this coffee maker! There is trial and error to get your preferred ratio of flavor but that is true for any new coffee maker. 5 stars!
