Unsure
I’ve been using this carrot oil for oil massage /oil washing on my face. The first time l did it my skin didn’t feel as smooth as l expected it would afterwards. I think it was my skin though not the oil. This oil feels very good quality and it will last quite some time too. Well worth the money.

Has a scent a hint of sweet nodes, but also a scent of another oil mixed in.
The media could not be loaded. I have some doubts is this real? Much like the other oils I'm testing out, they all smell like they have been mixed in with another oil, but also contain their respective flavours, so it maybe partially real, I actually can't tell unless I get these lab tested. This carrot seed oil in particular has a sweet scent, but it also feels like it's mixed in with other carrier oils. Carrot seed oil, is supposed to be earthy, woody, and herbaceous scent has a soothing, refreshing, and grounding effect, that is known to diminish feelings of fatigue, weakness, anxiety, and stress when used to inhale with a special humidifier that allows essential oils to be mixed in with water. Used cosmetically/topically, carrot seed oil repairs skin damage, tones muscles and tissue, and tightens skin to prevent it from sagging, and helps with hair and nails. Now I use this on my hair a few drops onto scalp 3-5 drops in hands or directly on damp/wet hair, to prevent it from frizzing and helps to give a healthy shine, I prefer it on damp hair. This is actually true, but pretty sure most oils I've used can do this. You do get 120ml which isn't bad, the price is quite high though, I do not know why, If I'm able to try a few other carrot seed oils, I'll be able to update this review with more facts. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though. From some research, pure carrot seed oil is supposed to smell a bit like roasted carrots, which is slightly sweet and very earthy (this is true for this product). It is golden yellow or orange in colour. It supposed to be medium thickness and absorbs quickly. (This is correct from this product) So maybe it is real.

Use on its own or as a carrier for something else.
The media could not be loaded. This is 100% carrot seed oil - the same family as the carrot you'd have on your plate but this is not for eating (or drinking).Carrier oils like this or say sweet almond are useful both in their own right as they're generally safe enough to use neat or as a carrier oil for something such as tea tree oil which you wouldn't want to use on your skin in its neat form.So what is this oil like?It ticks all the right boxes in being vegan and cruelty free and the box, bottle and dropper being recyclable. It's 100% natural, cold-pressed and unrefined which means it hasn't been through a distillation process, so this really is as natural as it could possibly be. The oil itself is very silky - it's a fine oil and has a faint 'medicinal' smell, almost tee-tree but not at all overpowering. A little goes a long way, which is always a bonus, and it absorbs quickly and well leaving no sticky residue. I'm also really pleased that the company behind this oil is UK based.I like to use a lightish oil on my skin after showering and before I use a heavy moisturiser as a bit of a barrier and to prevent pore-clogging. This oil fits the bill perfectly. I'm not a fan of using oil on my hair as my hair is baby fine and super soft so I find oil makes it a bit flat but I might try it just to see how it goes.I'll use a few drops on slightly damp skin on my arms and legs where the skin gets a bit dry, particularly after being out in the sun.At £19.99 for 120ml (as at 10 April 2023) this is a good value oil, whether you use it on its own or as a carrier it should last quite a while. Recommended.

Good
Wasnt sure what to expect but impressed by this product. Its a large bottle and can be used on skin and hair. Works wonders on skin and doesn't leave an oily residue but i would be wary of using this on blonde hair as the yellow colour could stain the blonde. Otherwise great product

fantastic for hair repair, high in Vitamin A
The media could not be loaded. Carrot seed oil can be used for both skin and hair, it is one of the richest sources of retinol when it comes to natural oils, it is quite runny and very easy to massage in, it is bright yellow in colour and smells similar to tea tree oil with a hint of carrots. For hair: carrot seed oil can promote hair growth, prevent hair loss and split ends, keep the hair and scalp moisturised which in turn helps with dandruff and other dry scalp conditions. It can also improve hair texture and help with softness and shine. For skin: most important thing to note is that carrot seed oil has a moderate comedogenic rating so it may clog your pores, so it may not be the best option for people with acne prone skin, if you do choose to use it on your skin it can provide moisturising and antibacterial benefits, brighten skin and the Vitamin A contents can help with skin firmness and anti-aging.Personally, I only use this oil on hair because it seems to be one of the best oils out there for my current hair goals (growth, thickness and damage prevention) and since my skin is acne prone I don't use it on my face just to be cautious, but I highly recommend doing some research about all the amazing things this oil can do and to try it out for yourself.
