Bissell CleanView Compact Turbo Upright Vacuum with Quick Release Wand, Full Size Power, Compact Size for Apartments & Dorms, 3437F

I tried the vacuum for the first time today. I was surprised how light it is. It is about 50% lighter than the similar-type 5-year old Eureka vacuum that I needed to replace as its dirt tank could no longer be attached to the vacuum. I was very impressed with it's cleaning ability. It seemed to pick up twice as much dirt as did my previous vacuum. It also does a great job vacuuming carpet-covered stairs without needing to use any of the included attachments. I found the dirt container very easy to empty. One problem that I had was that I kept tripping over the cord as it comes out of the bottom of the vacuum. But I discovered something that wasn't mentioned in the manufacturer's instruction manual. There is a power cord catch located on the clear suction hose hanger will keep the hose off of the floor so that you don't trip on it. See the attached photo. Naturally, I have no idea how durable the vacuum will be. I just hope it hangs in there as it's light weight doesn't make it feel very sturdy.

Immediately this thing tried to suck up the entire mat at the corner so I knew it was a winner. My other vacuum had been a little high end and lasted a long time but didn't have any suck left. I wanted something with great suction, for a shag rug. I have 2 dogs and 4 kids making a mess here. Maybe a little bit cheaper if it had good reviews, took up a little less space and was less clunky, and bonus points if my 3 and 7 year old could handle when they wanted to help. Let me tell you it covered all bases. It immediately sucked up the rug, blankets, toys, you name it. I could hear all the dirt and grit like sand getting sucked into it as I finally got to clean my shag rug. Downsides, it is on the cheaper end so the plastic is the main difference here, it's not going to be as durable against breaking as an expensive one. The accessories fall off a lot, but that's not a big deal honestly. It does fill up quickly but honestly I think this is because it's doing such an awesome job of getting every speck of dust and hair. Which is to be expected really right? It's a great size for the kids and very light. The cable is a great length and can ready into 2-3 rooms. Great price point. I highly recommend.

I've had this for about a week. Will update review every 6 months.The container isn't that great compared to Bissel Cleanview Compact I previously used, but suction seems quite comparable, and I love the attachments. It also seems much easier to clean and maintain.Floor height adjustment is great. It sucks well on carpet and hardwood floor.Only issue so far is it's really loud.I also got a card for warranty, which is nice! Don't buy the Amazon warranty

I might actually look forward to vacuuming now!! I already had a different Bissell model, but it was starting to feel heavy to use. Especially to carry up and down the stairs. Blame a bum shoulder for that. But this??? This weighs about half and I swear it has double the power. I could see it lifting the rug while I was using it. The cup was half full from one use….on rugs I just vacuumed with my old model, less than a week ago!! And it wasn’t even in a heavy traffic area. I’m so impressed I bought another one. I know I could carry this one with ease between floors, but it’s also smaller than my older model, so doesn’t take up much space, so why not. This one wins all around.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:After reading everyone’s reviews, I decided to buy this vacuum and if I could give it 20 stars. It was long overdue for a new vacuum. The little dirt devil I had for nine years being in a bigger apartment now it wasnt doing what I needed to do. And so I have a cat who recently started shedding alottttt and when I tell you the amount of hair that came out of my carpet was insane. This vacuum definitely pulls through the carpet fibers, my house look like I got my carpet clean. Now I did have to empty it often because it fills up very quickly, but other than that amazing

Love this vacuum! My pet vacuum died and really planned on just buying the same one. However this came up as a similar item so I looked it over. It has 2 things my vaccuum didn't have (a floor surface adjustment and what looked like a great brush for getting pet hair off of furniture) and it was on sale for cheaper than my old one so I bought it. The pet brush didn't work as well as I thought it would but questioning owner error or if I got a defective one. It has a spinning wheel with a brush on it but it doesn't move to aid in fur removal once attached. Haven't had time to really look into why it didn't work as my service dog had emergency surgery within days of purchasing this and has a lengthy recovery.That said, this little vacuum is so powerful!! I no longer have to go over areas several time to get every lasy bit of fur off the carpet as well as anything else down in the fibers! It works on my hard floor areas like a dream, getting the caught in the crevices stuff that I used to have to do by hand. It is very lightweight which is a must for me as I'm disabled and very easy to empty and clean. The cord is so long I can clean my whole apartment with only changing the outlet once. My old vacuum which was a top brand I had to change outlet 4 times to vacuum the whole space. The floor type adjustment is on the front on top of the base and can be changed easily with my foot. For the first time in my 50+ years I am in love with a vacuum cleaner LOL Will buy again if its available when this one goes.
